Hey all. I'm new here and I keep getting errors when trying to comment on a post, so I'm trying to get help here.
I downloaded the AOM Playable Pets Mod, but it's broken. I'd like to let the creator know so maybe they can fix it. (I LOVE the mod, btw.) When I have it in, every 4-5 SIM hours, my pets lose ALL relationships. They just disappear. I have MCCC and UI cheats installed. Without AOMPP, everything works fine. With it, relationships disappear every few hours and I have to reintroduce my Sims to their pets. I actually wandered around with the relationship panel open and watched my SIM's relationship with her dog and cat vanish. I hope that this can be fixed, because it makes the game so much more enjoyable.
BTW, sorry if this post is in the wrong place, i had a bit of a hard time figuring out where to put this.

As it turns out, the issue happens without the mod, it just takes a lot longer. It took a day and a half (in game), but it still happened. I'm not sure what's going on. I'm going to try turning MCCC relationship decay down to zero, then testing with and without the mod. I'll report in and let you know what happens.

Sounds good. I tested this and had no loss of relationship after many Sim hours. I'm interested to know your results.

Hi I love your mod, but I have a bug. My pets were controllable and then I switched to another sim who was at home and they were uncontrollable again. I hope you can fix this because I love your mod.

Hi kylieswartz, did you happen to download it when it first went up? If so, you may need the updated version that we posted shortly after. The update was meant to fix the issue of the pets becoming unplayable after returning from CAS mode from in-game, but it should technically fix any issues with switching between parts of the game.

So, I set MCCC relationship decay to 0. This time, with the AOMPP mod in my relationship with my pets went from 100 to not in my relationship panel in 17 hours. With the mod out, it took 21 hours. The relationship doesn't even decay, it just disappears. At this point I have no idea what's going on. Does anyone have any clue? Whatever it is, I seriously need a fix, or pets are just not even worth it.

this is weird but i downloaded the mod and i made sure script mods were on but the mod doesnt work and it either
a) opens and loads endlessly or
b) opens and i start to play and the mod isnt working.
yes i made sure the script mods were on.

So, I changed my MCCC settings to never cull relationships on played or active households, and I've gotten 27 game hours with no loss of relationships. This setting will make for social panel clutter, but it seems to have solved the issue for now. I would like to have a real fix, in one way or another. As for the AOMPP mod itself, if the icons could be fixed, that would be nice. I'm a visual person, so the blank icons are a bit of an issue. Overall, I'm glad to have it though.
*edit* 4 days in now with no loss of relationships. Without the no cull setting though, pet relations expire faster with the mod than without.

Hello! So, I'm having a problem downloading the mod. When I download it and put it into my mods folder, like the rest of my cc, and start the game but it won't show on start up with all of my cc. I know it would most likely be in script mods but it's not there and I have no other script mods. When I try to play it even without it showing up it won't work. (I was just testing) Although all of my cc works just fine. I have no idea what to do.

Hi lilibowilson12, you don't need to extract anything. Place the downloaded file into your Documents/Sims 4/Mods folder. |
