The patch in mid air is a weight issue...? Did you look at my blend file? annabluu

no, the file you linked was the package file. if you'd like me to look more at the weights you'll need to share the blend file. most likely it is a problem with the weights. please look at the tutorial i previously posted and see if it helps you any.

annabluu Whoops. Changed it to blend file now BlendBut I have been over that thread and the other you suggested and I have had no luck weighting. I've gone through the steps and it adds weight 1.000 (idk if that means anything) so I thought it worked but it did nothing as far as I can tell.

try doing the clean step in the tutorial. also, after looking at your blend file, it looks like your patch isn't weighted at all. it shouldn't be black. try redoing the weight transfer and seeing if that helps at all

If I redo it will that actually do anything? I feel like we are getting redundant. I have looked through every weighting tutorial and tried to learn literally all day and you keep telling me to try again and I do and it still doesn't work. I don't mean to sound stubborn but these tutorials are not helping me. Is there any place on this site where people try to fix a problem for you? annabluu

listen, if you were to scrap the whole thing and retry, i'm sure you will get different results. but part of the problem may be the uv_1. the only way to see for sure is to test the theory and then learn from our mistakes. if you want to create something for the sim's 4 and feel like you just created something that your sims themselves will wear, just sit through the pain and let us help you figure it out. but if you just want to get it done and don't really care, you can try posting in the modding requests and wcif section.
