Hi everybody ! I've decided to convert this S2 hair by Bipsouille for the Sims 4, using Milkshape 3D. The problem is that this hair has 3 different textures, and I would like to keep the original textures but the Q-Mesh sims 3 geom importer allows only one group per file and I need one mesh to convert. When I regroupe the different materials, I can use only one texture. So, is it possible to keep the three S2 original textures for only one mesh ? Please help, you're my only hope ! AugusteS

Ok, I'm sorry oops ! I watched a tutorial on youtube and I thought it would be more complicated with Blender, isn't it ? Do you have a tutorial for hair conversions with Blender ?

i can't find one, but the process is sort of the same. if you're going to use milkshape and have your object already in milkshape with the materials, you can export it as an obj and then import it into blender. you can also export the textures and maybe merge them in your 2D editor. after that, you can try following this tutorial, starting at step 7.

Hey annabluu. I'm here now, I saw in your tutorial you've the same problem when you create new hair. I'm pretty good with photoshop and 2D textures so I will recreate the textures, but it's impossible now because it would cover the skin. Could you please help me step by step ? I'm an absolute beginner with blender as I don't want to creat new meshes, but there are some S2 hair meshes I want to convert. I have the 2.77 version, I don't know if it's ok or if I have to download previous version ? I can also send the mesh to you if it's easier for you. Hi! Please use another image host, your images aren't showing up. I suggest imgur.com
On the tutorial it was linked, you are shown where exactly you need to place your textures and a template to guide you. Please follow those steps.

as long as you know where to put your uv on the uv map, you can alternatively bake it and then go into your 2D editor and paste the textures on top where you can also manipulate it to fit the bake. also, blender 2.77 isn't compatible with s4s. although you do need 2.77 for some things, i suggest you keep it as a zip. try downloading blender 2.70 and using that to import in sims 4 studio as well.

Hi again !! So I found the way to deal with the several textures and regroup the materials in a single mesh. BUT.... except the fact I have to fix the eyes problem, once I'm done with the mesh and I have put the package file into the "mods" folders, the hair doesn't show in my game, I don't know why Here is a pic of the hair in Sims 4 Studio. please download this template and put it in your uv map so you can see where the hair needs to be. also, you need to add the right tags. make sure it says feminine and can wear for young adults.

Thank you !! About the tags, I put "female", "teen/young adult/adult", I did the same mesh two times, but it still doesn't appear in my game. The previous conversion I have made works well as you can see, I don't know why this one doesn't show. Bipsouille Queen Amidala hair conversion by AugusteS by AugusteS, sur Flickr

As I said, I used MilkShape 3D and S4CAS Tools to import my project in Sims 4 Studio. And it worked perfectly well for my previous conversion. But I can try to import the project in Blender, I don't promise I will succeed. :'(

well you have to use blender to import the project into sims 4 studio. can you share that file? Hi ! I've replaced my previous conversion by the new one and it works ! But if both packages are in the mods folders, only one hairstyle appear in my game. I think it's because I have used the same mesh as a base, so I suppose that if I use a different hair as a base for my new conversion, both will work. Is it possible to use the same mesh as a base several times ? Oooops by AugusteS, sur Flickr
