I'm in need of assistant to extract some content that I would like to convert to The Sims 2. Here's what I am looking for :
1) The first thing that I am looking for is the textures of paintings that Sims can paint on a easel. I would like to use them to create custom paintings. I'm not sure if I can use S4S to do so, I tried to find it by myself but couldn't find anything. Does someone know where I can find those and what utility I must use for that ?
2) The second thing is food, I'm trying to create custom food for TS2 and I need the meshes of the foods from TS4 along with the textures. I was able to find some of the foods available in TS4 with S4S using the debug option of the objects catalogue, but I can't find every single one, and can't find the "burnt" textures either.
I know those are very unusual things to extract, but I would like to expand possibilities in TS2 using Sims 4 content that I actually like. My problem is that I don't know where I could look (what files?) and even if I knew, I wouldn't know how to identify them.
Any help would be appreciated 😊

Hi!! Why don't you try using this? Open S4S and go to "clone object". Once there, check the "show debug items" to make S4S show you those items that are in game but not avaiable (those you can access by using the "bb.showhiddenobjects" cheat) like food, trash and those things. We could say that the second request is complete . As you can see here you can find every food in game. I'm not sure if you can find paintings too. Give it a look by yourself. Good luck!

Thank you for the suggestion. I already tried to do that actually, but I still asked because S4S seem to not show every food available in the game. Let me show you : As you can see I did exactly that, used "Show Debug Items" and looked for "cake" (and also looked for "food"). Now we all know that Sims can cook a chocolate cake in TS4 basegame however I am unable to find the complete version of the cake's mesh. I can find the one slice mesh but not the full cake one. And I even tried to compare with other foods to see if the names are different and they aren't. So because the slice mesh as the word "cake" in it, and I am unable to find the full cafe mesh, I think S4S isn't showing every single debug items. Also, I will need (to convert the food) to also have the "burnt" texture, and it seems those textures aren't available either. I don't know if that texture is just an overlay or something however. So yeah, it's complicated 🤣 But I'm so not an expert! I also tried to find the easel paintings with that filter checked. I tried searching with words like : paintings, paint, art, easel, craft ; but didn't find anything.

Hate to say it, but a visual search, and hovering over non-displayed items, is the only way I know of to find the food items you are looking for in game. Chocolate cake is foodPlateEatMultiGENCakeWhite 0x219C. Chocolate,strawberry etc. are just textures of the white cake.

Leniad might be able to help you with the food and the paintings. He does food very well and has done some of the easel artwork. He might be able to tell you how to extract it. I know he is very busy making his own things. Give him some time and he should be able to respond.hahaha...he responded as I was typing this....I knew he would too.

I'm not sure if you would find this helpful, but Studio has a cheat that allows you to browse the clone list without cloning. Bring up the cheat console (Ctrl-shift-C) and type in object-preview. Clicking on an item brings it up in the model viewer, and you can toggle on a slots view too. Keep in mind that if you are in the debug menu, some items won't have a mesh to display in the viewer: If you only want the mesh and textures, you can export those using this feature. If you want a complete package, you need to make a note of the item and clone it in the usual fashion.

Hi again. I think it's showing all of them, but it can't get a view of everyone. I'm talking about those "full white objects" that don't have any thumbnail and don't show anything while openned as project. There's almost every food in game besides. Sorry for those that can't be found. Also you should give it a look to every object, without searching. I can't help furthermore, sorry!It takes pretty much to me to write an answer in english... When I finish it the problem is solved haha. Thanks to all of you for coming out to help! (Also many thanks to orangemittens for sharing this awesome trick)

You can use Sims 4 Image Viewer to look through and extract the easel paintings. You can download the program from here> luniversims.com/files/file/649-visionneuse-dimage-pour-fichiers-packages/The site is in French but the program does run in English. Go to File > Common Files > ClientFullBuild6 It houses at least some of the easel pictures. I haven't found any way to group them all together for easier locating though so they will be scattered out amongst all the other image files in there. To make it slightly easier though you can filter by image type and set it to DDS.

The easiest way I know of to group the easel painting image numbers in one place is to extract the tunings and go through them for the image numbers. Those can be plugged into the Cruiser to get the images. You can export the image or add it to a package: This method is, admittedly, tedious, but I can't think of a better way to get all the numbers you need in one place. If you do it this way, the package you make containing all the tunings will be quite large. I recommend closing and reopening Studio and then reopening the .package to avoid OOM issues. Once you reopen the package, you can go back and forth between the package and the Cruiser without closing either.

I know this post is old but I have been looking if there is a way to do this and I just want to say: 1. I love that the studio has its own cheats. 2. THANK YOU FOR THIS FUNCTION AND EVERYTHING YOU DO WITH THE STUDIO.
