This is my first time posting here, so I apologize if this has been explained already, but I'm kind of a newbie in Blender and editing meshes in general. Recently I saw some accessory bangs (placed in the Hat category in CAS) for download online (http://imadako.tumblr.com/post/171041072491/hime-cut-bangs-accessory-abdownloadmediafire), and decided to try to make my own ones by using the ones in the link as a base in Sims 4 Studio, but instead importing a new bangs mesh over the original. The new mesh is basically derived from this hair's mesh (http://kijiko-catfood.com/hototogisu-ts3-to-ts4-conversion/), but with everything except the bangs deleted. I imported Kijiko's texture for the bangs in S4S. Basically the bangs appeared correctly textured in S4S, but ingame, unless the sim was bald, when used alongside hair the problem was that the the bangs didn't use Kijiko's texture that I imported. Instead, they used (messily) EA's hair textures, and the hair color I was using; they couldn't have a separate color like the bangs I see online, even if I selected one for them (for example, alogside brown hair I chose pink color option for the bangs, but they were still brown like the hair). My question is, how can I make the accessory bangs still use their own texture when used alongside EA hair, or at least have a different color when I pick one? Thanks in advance.

The bangs (i'm guessing) are UV mapped to the hair spot on the sims 4 UV, so they'll just the hair texture from the current hair being worn. In order to make the bangs use their own texture, you'll have to move the UV map for them (to the bottom right maybe) and move the texture along with that

Thanks for the information! But, how exactly do I do that? I'm still trying to get used to Blender and it's all very confusing for me.

So I basically got the hang of moving the UV map around, but the problem is the texture - I'm guessing I probably need to choose a new texture for the bangs to replace the default Diffuse map, but I don't really know how to do that. I know I should move the texture along with the UV map in Blender, but if I move the bangs' texture's position in another image editor and then open the PNG file in Blender, how do I make the bangs use the edited texture instead of the Diffuse map? Or, if they should still be using the Diffuse map, how do I move the Diffuse map around to match the UV map?

Go into photoshop and put the UV over the diffuse, then move the diffuse in place so it matches up with the UV.
