Sims 4 Studio is developed to empower creators and those who, in previous games, sat on the sidelines *wanting* to be creators but felt they couldn’t ever tackle the learning curve to make things for the Sims. It is designed to streamline the workflow and be reliable so you can spend time learning to perfect your art rather than struggling with some clunky, buggy tool. Studio is extensively documented so you can easily get started working with it and move on to more complicated things.
Studio forums provides tutorials showing how to use Sims 4 Studio to convert items from Sims 2 and Sims 3 so they will work for Sims 4. The intention was that these tutorials would be used by Sims 2 and 3 creators joining the new game or by people who had permission from those creators to convert their meshes.
The Sims 4 Studio project is not about stepping on toes, stealing meshes, or disrespecting the creativity and effort of people who made things for previous games. The Sims 4 Studio team absolutely does not support that kind of activity and, to the best of our ability, such activity will not be afforded a home at the Studio forums either.
There are many tutorials at Sims 4 Studio that show how to make things for Sims 4 using Sims 4 Studio. There is friendly support in the Studio forums for people just starting out who want to learn how to make things. If you want to create things for the SIms there has never been an easier time to get started making your own items. Stealing is not creative…it’s destructive. Please respect the hard work of other creators and follow their TOU. If they say no choose another project or make your own mesh.
