This part of the project is very frustrating to me. My new bottom model is clipping in some parts because my character has a bigger hip than the studio's preview model, even after painting the part yellow in vertex paint mode. Also, my sim is slightly glowing all over. Lastly, his head icon of the said sim is completely blacked out when I view his household to load the game. This also happens in CAS when I equip the item: Turning all black except for the eyes. What can I do to fix this? Pictures: You can see the clipping and the shininess here. Also, take note of the black line of the leg. This is the same sim in nude for comparison. as you said your specular is wrong remember that it has a bright part and another that is the mask learn more here: sims4studio.com/thread/1728/information-on-cas-specular-rlesyour specular should be something like this (may vary) reread this: sims4studio.com/thread/4324/tutorial-detailed-guide-create-clothingwhere is the alpha channel of the normal map? you have to go to the channels part and create one You have to stay like this: in the tutorial it tells you how to create it too the steps you did for your normal map were fine however you did not create the alpha channel and therefore you did not use the tutorial command and therefore you did not copy the red channel as I had been told I suggest you review those steps I suppose your uv is already fine (because inabadromance has given you advice n-n) your shadow is still wrong Remember that you do not have to notice much in the tutorial it says it that is to say that you go to your texture. PNG (says that) and then save it with the name of your file paddingadult_shadows Go to the little fx icon and choose color overlay as a color choose the color with hex: bdbdbd and click ok. Click Ctrl + J to duplicate that layer(or duplicate layer option), go to the original layer, the one that is on the bottom now, click again and choose stroke, then on the menu from the left click blending option, and make the fill opacity 0% as shown on part B of image 14. Now go back to stroke tab, make sure it is checked, choose the color white and size should be between 3 to 6 (like shown on part C), just test it on your model to find out better number for you, now un-check the color overlay on the menu from the left and click ok. save your file and you done. your shadow should be like this now:

It looks like the map is back to where it's supposed to be, but there is still an issue.

Did you redo your specular? If you do not want the diaper to shine then do not shine Anyway, the item is broken ... could it be a problem of uv? I do not know ... that should be explained by someone who knows uv

Hi! You haven't created the proper UV_1 for your mesh. I thought you said you were going to use EA parts, so it should have already it's proper uv. In any case, you need to separate your mesh from the legs and follow the UV_1 tutorial.
Select the diaper in edit mode. Press P and then Selection, to separate the mesh into a separate group. Select the new group from the mesh group list and follow the uv_1 tutorial. After you're done, re join the groups again.

I redid the UV maps according to those instructions and I am happy to announce that the issues have gone away. However, I do have to remake the maps and reweight everything. After that, these should be ready to go.
Is there a tutorial to make the custom mesh's UVs better?

...And I think my sim needs to go see a doctor. Note that I didn't make any texture maps yet. I just want to make sure the mesh works before I start on them.

umm why would you need to re do anything if that's already done?
please share the updated blend to check that the uv_1 is correct. I don't feel it's quite right from seeing the image.

If the UV map has to be changed, I will have to redo the maps to make sure it's all good.
The package file has been updated to version 3. The same link can be used to download the new version. As for the Blender file, I uploaded a new file and the link to that has been changed out.

one thing is the uv_0 and another is the uv_1. these two are two different independent things. your uv_0 is perfectly fine. what the video tutorial creates it's new uv_1.you don't have to modify anything or re map anything on your own. just follow what the video tutorial says and what I've written above.

I did and I think I did it right. However, it keeps deforming on the front side.

Please show a picture of the issue in game and share the updated blend file and package so someone can take a look.

The files are up to date. Here are a pic and a gif if the issue. {Pic and Gif} ...I got 101 comments about what's going on, but each one could get me in trouble here.

To get rid of the black lines, you need to clear the shadow map.
To get rid of the gloss issue, you should use this tutorial HERE

I wound up getting rid of the specular map and the normal map. The latter I will have to learn more about before I give it a new one. Consider this one solved and thanks to everyone who posted here.
I still need more help with my model to make it more polished up. This time, I rather use Discord. My username and number is MathewMii#0389. (Speaking of, is there a Discord server? If not, consider making one since they tend to be very efficient.)
