Hello, I am new here and simply installed S4S today to try and help with the cc window and door bug. However, I seemingly have this exact issue. I am on a MacOS, version 10.13.6 (High Sierra). As soon as I open the program it asks me to configure the game path just like above user, I can see that the game path is wrong so I change it to the correct one, and that is when I get the error. I appreciate any help! EDIT: I play the Sims through Origin, don't know if this makes a difference? My game path is still User->Applications->The Sims 4, exactly like the screen shot above. Hi there,
Did you by any chance changed the language of the game from English to a different one? As changing language will slightly alter the paths.
No, the language is in English... :/

Sorry. But i don't think i am able to help you. As i don't own a Mac, it's hard for me to provide support for it.

Okay, thanks for being honest! I saw they've updated with a new patch to "fix reported bugs", not sure if the cc window problem is one of them since I haven't tried the new patch yet... but let's hope!

Did anyone solve this issue? I just downloaded Sims 4 Studio and think I might be having the same problem. - My computer is a 2011 Mac running High Sierra 10.13.6 - I am playing through Origin's 'Legacy Edition' because my computer is older. - I think the 'The Sims 4 Documents' path is correct because the 'My CC' section of Sims 4 Studio appears to be working. - Is Blender something I need to download separately? My settings on this window look like: Language: English (United States) Creator Name: [My Name] The Sims 4: Untitled > Applications > The Sims 4.app The Sims 4 Documents: [My Name] > Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 Legacy Edition Blender Path: Untitled > Applications> Blender.app

Same bug here, so I guess it hasn't been fixed till now.
I believe there might really be something causing an issue if Documents and Game Installation are not on the same Drive. My Document folder is on D://, my Steam and Origin games folder on E://. I went into my document folder > The sims and copied the path to paste it to S4S and did the same with the game path so it can't be wrong. I added the \ at the end and still get the "Unable to save" error. If I try to navigate to my game folder manually via ... I get an error report which might be related, though it tells me this: System.IO.IOException: Der Prozess kann nicht auf die Datei "D:\Benutzer\Rea\Documents\Sims 4 Studio\S4Studio_v3.2.sqlite" zugreifen, da sie von einem anderen Prozess verwendet wird. Which roughly translates to: System.IO.IOException: The process can't access the file "path/SAStudio_v3.2.sqlite" because it is in use by another process.
I can use the Content Management just fine to fix bugs with windows and doors so it does find the corresponding folder, it just won't let me save anything I made - I can still export though. But since I want to tinker with lot sizes and export the files as a package to not firetruck with my actual world files this doesn't help. If loading a world file I can only export it as binary or chose "*all extensions" to overwrite the file I opened to begin with but I have no other option to generate a package file.

Hello, I also get the path error thing.
I use the Steam version on Windows. My path should be C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Sims 4\ But it won't accept that.

Hey guys, I found a "fix" that worked.
Apparently, S4S couldn't find the TS4.exe file if it was buried under another folder within the main The Sims 4 folder.

Hey guys, I believe I've found the issue on Mac. (Not sure if people are still having issues but I definitely was!)
As a Mac user, you'll need to redirect S4S to look in a different pathway. 1. Go to Locations and find Macintosh HD 2. Go to the Users folder and find the user account you're logged in as. 3. From that user folder, look for Applications and in that folder there should be a Sims 4 icon. Click that. This will now remove the original "The Sims 4.app" replace it with the correct one.
You should be able to set S4S up with the correct pathway now.
For reference, I always launch TS4 from Origin so had to find the real icon.
If the above doesn't help, maybe try doing a search for the Sims 4 icon and seeing where it lives on the Mac.
Hope the above helps someone!

Hi! I don’t have a The Sims 4 app in my applications, I have the sims in the Dutch version so I tried but I use Origin so I think that’s the reason I don’t have sims 4 in my applications! Where can I find my sims 4 app then??

Question, with the preset path that is the direct route into the game, are we able to change the version of blender for it or must it stay at the current version?

I think the confusion here is because the preferences tab only shows two levels above the game.
The original image in this thread shows this:{REDACTED} > Applications > The Sim 4 The default path that the studio has is:Macintosh HD > Applications > The Sims 4 Since the grandparent folder is redacted in the image (as someone's username should be!), it's harder to see that it's the wrong Applications folder.

I get an error message that says, "Unable to find The Sims 4.Please configure your game path." On my computer, there is sims4 (TS4x64) in "C:Program FilesEA GamesThe Sims 4GameBin", but I get an error even if I specify it. It didn't work to leave the language as English. I also tried the YouTube video above, but it didn't work. Does anyone know how to fix it?

I don't know what was good about it, but I'll write it down just in case.
