@wj Weird, I'm logged into both here and tumblr, so I'm not sure what is going on with that link. Lemme try this one instead. imgur.com/gallery/vDB0BCgif this doesn't work I'll try to post them with something like tiny pic and image link them in here. edit: it might have been a setting on tumblr. I changed it from an explicit to not explicit. I must have been playing around and forgot to turn it back to normal.

I use minimal CC since I'm pretty satisfied with most of everything in the game. However, I'm all about my colorful eye swatch selection, and I'm super bummed that the CC eye swatches I have made no longer work. The face paint versions I have for them work perfectly fine, but I prefer using the genetic selections.
I'm sure the team here is laboring away at a heckin' sweet batch fix for all of this. We love and appreciate all of the hard work each of you are putting in. I can't wait to update my eye swatches~! <333

@wj The images are done without CC. It was the first thing I went to... thinking it was maybe a bugged hair. When I add the CC hair of any kind the hair color will stay locked on whatever was picked and will not change. I can use the randomize function and it will change the color randomly, but as soon as the new color is picked it then becomes stuck. The weird thing is, its only affecting my abducted alien toddlers. Everyone else is working properly and new sims in cas are as well.
I'm not sure what they did, but I have no clue what else I can do at this point but report it to them and see if they will fix their "fix" :-S. I'm seeing a similar issue with eyes to be honest...but only when I add the nondefault version.
I think I'll just take a step back and wait until a few days after the pack comes out and redownload things after that... three days everything may change again. I did all the pre-patch things they told me to do and removed everything backed it all up. Did all the things you're supposed to do and still have issues. This patch wasn't supposed to affect CC really. Just scripts.
It seems to just be the hair and eyes, so I'm not sure what they've changed with how they work, but I don't think it's the creators this time. i think it's the patch.

I don't have any alpha hairs. only clay. Some of them are ok but with others I have the issue.
I think the issue might be hairs that don't use the ea/maxis texture. (haven't tested it enough to be sure though)

My tests so far show that this issue affects alpha hair and the custom color swatches of EA-style hairs if the swatches have the check mark removed from the "Allow For Random" box. I have tested this with an alpha hair (Simglass shader) that did not allow any changes to the hair color in CAS. I put a check in the Allow For Random for each swatch, and then I could select the hair color. Similarly, I took an EA-style hair, added a custom color swatch to it, and I could select all colors. I then removed the check mark from the Allow For Random box for each swatch, and the custom color was no longer selectable in CAS. If this is the reason (or even part of the reason) why this problem is occurring, it explains why people are finding that some hair works while other hair does not.
This is, ofc, a preliminary test, so it's too early to tell if this is the entire problem or even if these two hairs are representative of the issue everyone has reported here.

It is not just the hair. It's also cc beard and moustaches. I also have issues with cc eyeshadow and eyeliner. Some of the swatches (i could change them) are looking very faint after the patch. So i thought it had something to do with EA colours or Custom colours.

I just ran Studio's Allow CC for random on my CC hair folder, and it seems to have fixed all but one of the hairs that would not allow its swatches to be changed in CAS. I do not know whether this will fix CC eyeshadow, eyeliner, beards, or mustaches because I have not tested it on those items. The downside to running this batch fix on all hairs is, ofc, that now all these hairs can appear on random Sims. I also have not had a chance to see if it fixed every hair I had or why it did not fix one of the hairs.

Hello I think I found how to fix it, it's an issue with Part Flags Value, I changed the value from 40 to 44 and now all swatches work. (look here) I cloned base game hair, and that value was 44 so I just changed it and now it works. Also tested with brows and fix seems to be working :D Hope it helped :3

Hi anto, I just posted that above you If you change the allow for random check mark, you will change the Part Flags Value. You can check the box on the Studio tab without needing to open the Warehouse tab. Thus, the easy way to fix most hairs is to run Studio's "Allow for random" batch fix on your hair folder. Please note, this will not fix all hairs. I am still checking into those that are not fixed by adding the check mark.

I can confirm that haircolors works after putting a check mark in the "allow for random" box. I just did a quick test and put a check mark in "allow for random" for some of my hairs. The ones i did it to worked in game, but the others didnt. I do have more than 200 hairs, so i didnt check them all.
However - I just realized I have the aging bug, so I´m not touching my legacy anymore until thats resolved :S

Hi mysle86, thank you for confirming the issue in your game. If you want to fix your hairs, you can try running Studio's "Allow for random" batch fix on your hair folder. This should fix most, if not all, hairs. I did that on my hair folder, and only one hair still has the problem where it will not switch swatches in CAS. I'm still looking into why that hair is a holdout.

Hello there Orangemittens! I want to thank you and everyone else that participated in fixing this issue for all of us. I appreciate your hard work. I'm downloading S4S now to see if the batch fix works for me. I do have a quick question: do I need to download the batch fix or is it already implemented within S4S? And how do I go about making the check mark for the folder? I'm going to be fiddling with it here in a few minutes so I'll let you know if I managed to figure it out. Thank you!

Hi! I ran "Allow for Random" batch fix in my hair folder and it worked, so following the same logic I tried to do the same with my eyes folder but it seems that the "Allow for Random" thing is not the problem because they still don't work in my game :-[ Is it just my game or will we have to keep looking for whatever is wrong with the cc eyes? On the other hand, it doesn't happen with all eyes, I have some that work perfectly and those are allowed for random too so I'm very confused :-S

EDIT: YES! SO FAR IT WORKS! I'll let you all know if I run into anymore issues.
