Hey community! So i found a video tutorial, showing somekind of .avt of sims 4 default body as an avatar in MD. I couldn't find it here, (the video shows clearly it's from this forum).
Also i have bunch of questions for MD.
1. Are data transfer and weight transfer necessary? What do they affect if it's not done?
2. Will MD's default avatar work with sims 4 if the .avt i'm looking for isn't available anymore.
3. Do i uv map the cloth mesh on MD or in Blender?
4. I've found a long tutorial here for porting MD mesh to blender and then to sims 4, that tutorial was made on 2016, was wondering if are there any simpler methods in 2018?
Thank you very much.

there are list of md avatars you can download here. and to answer your questions, data transfer and weight transfer are extremely necessary if you want the sim to be able to wear and use your clothes in game. they make sure that the sleeve of a shirt moves with the arm of the body. md's default avatar will still work, but the one i linked above has better proportions. you uv map it in blender. the tutorial you found on the site is the simplest tutorial there is. how featured creators today make clothing is not like this at all. they generally do a lot more steps, such as retopologizing, or creating maps for it. if you have any more questions, please ask!

Thank you for your respond! You've answered most of my questions alreay, i would love to try to retopo because decimate modifier is damaging. However i can't click on the link you gave. It threw me back to this thread.

Anyone know where I can get a chubby female sims 4 avatar? There is no such thing. You use the default size avatar for creating clothes.

I have been using the default size I just wanted to make a jacket as an accessory that was by default on the larger size and thought it would save time have to resize in blender if I used a chubbier model on MD. Thanks for responding Feyona. Do you know of any tutorials on making my own avatar or exporting a Sim I've created from the game and using as an avatar in MD? I've seen a couple of different shaped sims 4 avatar like the bimbo version with bigger boobs and smaller waist.

Hi. You can find tutorials where similar things ( changing the shape of the body ) are accomplished for Morphmaker. The Sims 4 Studio is not used for this, so you won't find anything useful on this subject here
