I just tried to install the updated version of sims 4 studio (Joy) and windows blocked it saying it could harm my computer, So then I tried the zip file after opening it and trying to run the program windows once again blocked it. Normally I would not care, But since windows did not do this with (Love) and it did not do it when I updated to Joy the other day I am worried that something might be wrong with it. Please let me know cause I really want to start recoloring some of the new dresses. Thank You.

Hi marystarbright, The new version of Studio has very few changes from the old one and it has never had any code that could harm someone's computer. Could you post a screenshot of the exact message that your computer is giving when you try to install it?

I just tried it again and used the run as administrator option and it did not block it. But when I tried that on the zip file right after it still blocked that, So more than likely it is my computer being stupid. Here is a picture.

I just ran the program and this message from Avast popped up. I have never seen this message before from Avast with any thing I have downloaded and I have been using Avast for a while now. And Thank You for your quick reply earlier

I think that this may be similar to the issue where Google Chrome would warn people if they downloaded a new version of Studio right after it is released. Microsoft and Google sometimes warn if there is a program that they don't know about that you download, and from what I can tell, the only way they would trust Studio without waiting is if we paid them over $100 annually for a certificate. If this bothers you, you could probably wait a few days after a new version and your computer will stop warning you.

No it is fine, I just wanted to make sure nothing was wrong. Like I said I was worried just because it did not do this the last two times I downloaded sims4studio. I have opened the program and used it and neither windows nor Avast has popped up with anything happening. Thank You for your help.
