Welcome to Sims 4 Studio! Are you running S4S on Windows or a Mac? Have you rebooted your laptop since seeing this problem? Most likely another app/process has the file open, which locks it, preventing other actions like deleting the file. Rebooting should close whatever is holding the file.
If that still doesn't work, here are some suggestions:
Assuming Windows:
During the error message, does S4S give you the location of the package it's trying to delete?
Do you see the package listed under My Projects on the right side of the main menu of S4S? If listed, you can hover your cursor over that package name and it will show you the location of the file.
For either the error or My Projects, if a long path is shown, you might want to take a screen shot to help you locate it outside of S4S.
- Open Windows Explorer (File Explorer) and go to the location identified in the steps above.
- Select the package you want to delete and press the Del key and answer any prompts to allow the deletion to proceed.
If you are using a Mac, the steps are similar but at step 4 you will use Finder instead of Windows Explorer.
If these steps don't solve the problem please post screen shots so we can help you further.
