hi Orange mittens! i love this feature and it has worked for me several times, but it also doesn't work sometimes. :-[ I was curious if it meant something was wrong with my cc if the color picker doesn't work? Is that a silly question? lol

What happens during the times when the color picker doesn't work? Do you have an example of an item that will not allow the color picker to work?

Orangemittens,
I have an issue, every time I try to use color picker, where the curser will change to the eyedropper but I can not choose a color. The curser then gets stuck as an eyedropper until I quit and restart studio. Any idea what causes this?

What happens during the times when the color picker doesn't work? Do you have an example of an item that will not allow the color picker to work?Since the updates and reinstalling it started to work fine again, but today i start to make a new decal and everytime i select the dropper and mouse over the color i want it goes black. Is there a solution i could try out? :( |

How do you do this with a pattern? I made a top with a pattern and I can't seem to get the pattern image on to the thumbnail it keeps showing up as color instead of the pattern.

It actually works differently on Mac and Windows.
In Apple Blossom you:
Left click on the swatch thumbnail
This brings up a window with a colour wheel
Underneath that is an eye dropper icon
Click on the item to get the colour you want

I recently switched from MAC to PC Sims4Studio and I legit couldn't figure out the swatch color picker, lol. It's really easy on MAC because there's an eyedropper tool right there. Windows... I was like where is it!! Thanks for the tutorial.

What I discovered was that this only happened when using my second monitor and not the primary one. So if someone ever has the same kind of issue and you're working with 2 monitors, try to use your primary one instead.  |
