Hi, I'm trying to install Sims 4 Studio, but I get a malware warning from my antivirus software. I know how to bypass this, but I want to know why I have to in the first place. Why would my firewall think this program contains some sort of virus?

It's a zip file and many browsers and antivirus will automatically flag zips and exes for being dangerous it cannot scan all the files inside so it just assumes the worst of them. It also could have something to do with the certification tickets of the website. I'm not entirely sure which, but I see this problem on some websites other than here.
I think you can add an exclusion in your scanner for S4S. I'd google "add an exclusion to a virus scanner" and then your virus scanner's name to find directions on how to add it. If you add an exclusion then the scanner would not see it as something to flag.
