Sorry to be late in replying (Next Generation marathon). Really glad you got it! That tea pot is beautiful
I should have added that the Adobe Elements I use is 5, I have 15 but it will not use .dd files so I stick with my old one which is comfortable if not a little bit of a drama queen sometimes (it doesnt like W10)
Bump maps are powerful tools, they really add detail and depth to objects. I have just almost finished converting a computer chair and it has a lot of padding, but to make the bump map work to maximum I will have to make every colour exactly the same so the bump map will match them and not make dents in the wrong place. I like using diffrent materials but the bump can even show thread details on textures so this chair will have to have each colour made by using the colour 'hue and saturation' slider.
Orangemittens has a tutorial on how to make a bake map in blender to add shadow detail to textures, when you have a working one it can also be used to make the bump map, usually with the minimum of editing; smoothing/blurring edges and masking the bits you dont need to stand out. I make the bake, edit it so the texture will work using the 'multiply' option in the add pattern section. then as I recolour I save the base as 0-text and rename all the others such as 'PinkChair' or whatever.
There is a lot of info to learn when making these objects so dont get discouraged, soon you will be doing it all in your stride and will probably develop your own routine as well.

Aww, thank you. The teapot has been six or more months in the making. I kept telling myself: just start with the sphere, just start with the sphere ... . So a couple of days ago I decided to finally do it. I have the teapot and the creamer done, and am working on the sugar bowl now, then the cups and dishes, and done. I'd be happy to share if you'd like (if you don't mind less-than-perfect objects). You've been more than helpful. <3 Yes, finding the .dds plugins was almost a feat in impossibility. I couldn't believe there were so many people requesting them, or where to find them, and no real info. Other than that though, Elements is pretty great compared to the now bloated Photoshop. I use the old online version of Pixlr (https://pixlr.com/editor/) most of the time instead of firing up Photoshop. It has just enough bells and whistles (could use maybe one or two more), but I like that I don't need yet another degree to actually USE it. I love that you take such time and care with your objects, and I'd love to get to the point where I can master how to do much of what there is to do. You saw how difficult a bump was for me! Seriously - complete mental block or something. I like texturing, and even meshing is growing on me. But the finer intricacies such as baking ... over my head. Each time I have tried to bake, I get a black and white map with full faces. I try to add shadows and such in the texturing itself, but of course, there is nothing like doing it right. Have a great one, and thanks again!
