*****It is really hard to find a place in the simmer community for people who have no modding skills but ideas (good and bad) about what they would like to see developed to improve the experience of gameplay in Sims. I understand that the rules prevent modders being flooded with endless direct requests to 'build stuff' but as a non modder with an interest in modding a thread that allows us to talk about what we would like to see developed or built and why is needed. The bonus is that if a modder wanted to come in every now and again for direction or inspiration they could.*****
Anyway not sure if this thread is allowed or whether anyone else will join in but here goes Im going to kick off by suggesting something that I cannot seem to find
1. FUNCTIONAL TYPEWRITER FOR THE HISTORICAL SIMS CHALLENGES....I was wondering if it was possible to use the function of the new laptop with a vintage typewriter object. Currently there is a retro typewriter mod by (ozyman4) which uses the old computer function with the mouse so the actual action of the typewriter is not quite right as the animation has the mouse action in it (the typewriter moves around the desk during this action) whereas the animation for the new laptop has just the keyboard action and is better suited to typewriter conversion. Why I feel it is important to my game play is that it allows my Victorian era sim family to have careers and earn their own money by being writers. It really ruins the play experience when you have modern objects in this type of simplay. And while I can have them as painters, woodworkers a writer would complete the options to a Victorian era career.
If anyone knows of one that would be good too but this is my need at the moment in the sim game that Im currently playing what is yours? feel free to add your current wishes, wants and needs and why.
