I am told that Peacemaker (for whom it is early in the day) is looking into what's changed and what needs to be changed, and other people may be also. It's probably a good candidate for a batchfix, once everyone involved has had time to work on it, since I expect it is a similar type of change to other things that have already been batchfixed (i.e. bathtubs, showers, things that needed updating for toddlers and pets, etc.).

I dunno if this is something a batch fix could address but cc beds don't slot under the new bunkbeds

This fix was a dud - you need to reclone using selective cloning and check the 32bit box.

Hello, I don't know if the bugs I've encountered are eligible for a batch fix but I just wanted to share what bugs I've seen so far. Maybe other people have them too? This is the sidebar from windows. It's so glitchy. - I can place basically nothing, even base game objects. The only objects I can place are walls, roofs, wallpapers, floors, that stuff. Windows, doors, trees can't be placed. The items I click on simply don't get picked. This is resolved when I turn off CC.

I'm having the exact same issue!! all my cc shows up in game but I can't place anything in build mode, whether it's cc or not; however, I can still move and sell objects. In CAS, all of my items are weirdly spaced out and they don't always appear on my sim when clicked on. I have tried some of the batch fixes in S4S, turned script mods on and off, and even removed my build mode mods folder, but the only thing that seems to work is turning off CC all together.
Edit: It's just outdated mods, my b! Lemme know if i should take this down.

Just to keep the thread up to date, it turned out that the chair ingeli thought she had fixed with the method she posted was never broken at all. The real fix is that chairs need 32-bit instances, as discovered by a collaborative effort and shared by Ravasheen. This is probably not a candidate for a batch fix but will be easy for creators to fix without one. zopir and kabb your problems are caused by outdated mods. S4S can't ever fix them and they do not belong in this thread; you must remove the outdated mods (and download up-to-date versions if you want to).

This is probably not a candidate for a batch fix but will be easy for creators to fix without one. The fun part is going to be fixing the hundreds of dining chairs and barstools created by creators who are no longer in the community since a lot of their content is still in use. -- I'd say even if not a batch fix a tool that would automatically update it like was done for updating default CAS content several patches ago. Sadly that is beyond my programming skill(I'm lucky I've only made 1 dining chair and 1 barstool retexture but will probably update all the dining chairs and barstools in my mods folder and just make the ones from retired creators available on request - it may take awhile though- 40 GB of CC in my backups folder and I'm going to wait and see if there is some type of quick fix from either EA or those with better modding and programming skills than I have before I get started --

Thank you for informing that it's probably not possible with a batch fix to fix the chairs. Would you mind sharing on how to fix as a noob? Because I didn't understand the picture of the twitter post... Kind feel stupid here. But I would really like to learn and fix it myself since some creators are not active anymore. Maybe another stupid question but would it be possible to share how to do it for an indivual file and a merged fill?

Easy peasy chair fix 1 Put the clone package in the mods folder in S4S 2 Open S4S and search for content object and choose selective cloning 3.Clone the object and check 32 bit - check ALL the boxes. 4 save the cloned object over the old package with CC seat. Same name, but updated 32 bit.
And no, you can not do this with merged files, need to unmerge them.

Thank you for the instructions! Will the game see the cloned chair as a different object? Will all chairs disappear from my custom builds saved to the gallery? What chairs are affected? Only desk and dining chairs?

Why is it suspected not to be batch fixable, this cant be a more difficult issue than the window/door issue from that window patch. Everyone is prolly willin to wait whatever time it takes to make a batch fix, I am just curious why this issue seems to not meet batch fix qualifications, we made it this far with ea never changing something so severely a batch fix was undoable, are people just assuming its too hard or has it been confirmed by the batch fix creator/maker that all chairs are a lost cause unless individually fixed? I got 14 separate save folders, this kind of thing could make the game forever undesirable if I have to redo 568 gigs of cc over some damn chairs. Reading a batch fix won't happen is scary, id kinda prefers if people didn't assume one or way another unless they actually know if it won't or will, basically I guess I'm asking WHO is the one that will actually announce "yes we can" or "no we can't " and I can take that word for it so I know if I am giving up on this game finally. 5-6 years of fighting CC to work is probably a monstrous headache to the people that create batch fixes, so my contention is not one of impatience, I can wait however long, my issue is too many people 'guessing' at things and not knowing whose word to take as gospel on the subject.
