Hello, I don't know if the bugs I've encountered are eligible for a batch fix but I just wanted to share what bugs I've seen so far. Maybe other people have them too? This is the sidebar from windows. It's so glitchy. - I can place basically nothing, even base game objects. The only objects I can place are walls, roofs, wallpapers, floors, that stuff. Windows, doors, trees can't be placed. The items I click on simply don't get picked. This is resolved when I turn off CC. Hello, I had the same problem, it was due to the tmex-expandablecatalog. It already has an update and then works again. TwistedMexi has some new updates. Thank you sooo much! I have a quite huge CC folder and was too lazy to find out the root of the problem. ^^

NP. I would also like to encourage people to wait at least a little while for EA to fix this or for a batch fix to be made. If everyone starts making their own instance numbers for every chair they have, there are going to be hundreds of chairs out there each with hundreds of different instance numbers. This could cause problems down the road if people start sharing their chair folders with friends who are also receiving chair folders from other people. The instance number is what the game uses to tell which object is what. Things that increase the chance that a player will have more than one item with a given instance number or versions of the same item with different instance numbers in their game should be avoided. If we do a batch fix we can hash the number in a fashion that ensures a specific chair gets the same number no matter who batch fixes it. i'm more than happy to wait. to be honest i'm afraid to even open my game at this point, after all the messes EA has made, so should i just not play until there's a batch fix, will opening my game cause furnished lots to be messed up?

Thank you a lot for S4STUDIO TEAM to pronnounce about the latest patchdoom. You're all kind sweethearts, really! I don't mind waiting at all, as long as I have this statement of yours as a light in the end of this horrible tunnel EA always messes up. Just please, keep us updated about if EA decides to pronnounce about the issue. Long Live Andrew&OrangeMittens!!!

holy cats, i opened my game for the first time since the bunkbeds update and i cannot place objects from build mode into any lot, cc or ea objects. i took out all my mods and custom content and it still won't let me place items from build. i'm at my wits end with this game.

I had the same issue, but it's fixed. I know that a Mod from TwistedMexi (ExpendableCatalog) was the culprit for objects not being placeable after the bunk bed patch. If you had that mod in game, it got updated.
If you took ALL your mods out and your game still didn't work, then you should create a new game folder and maybe run a repair through Origin. That worked for me.

thank you so much! this was the problem, the Expandable catalog mod. it was buggy before hand so i think i'm going to just go without it for now.

katgyrl You're welcome The new updated version works fine again. You can use it without any problems If you also use his "BetterBuildBuy" (BBB) mod, then you don't need it.

Hey y'all, just want to clarify since I see I was misinterpreted/misquoted a few times while I've been busy. The exact words I used were "this is probably not a candidate for a batch fix". I did not say that it wasn't possible, or that I didn't know whether it was possible, or that it wasn't going to happen, or that it'd be more difficult than the windows and doors fix, or anything like that. In fact, while I didn't say anything whatsoever about whether it was possible or not, I was pretty confident that it was possible; I just didn't think it was a good idea. The main reason I didn't think it was a good idea was, in fact, exactly one of the main reasons why there isn't a batch fix yet -- because, as orangemittens has elaborated on already, there are multiple reasons why changing instance numbers (either at all or to 32-bit instances specifically) is just not a great option no matter whether it's automated or by hand. I also didn't know how much Andrew would be able to do to mitigate the drawbacks of the fix, and I definitely did not believe he would ever release a batch fix that didn't take those drawbacks into account. (Fortunately, it turns out he can mitigate one of the worst drawbacks, which will make a batch fix much, much less messy if it turns out we still need a fix at all.) Not real sure how that got turned into people thinking I said it wasn't possible, etc.

Hi All, I just wanted to let everyone know a batch fix for this is out. It is accompanied by a TEST cheat code that will batch fix your saved games to recognize the newly renumbered chairs. If run back to back, the two batch fixes should 1. cause your chairs to work right and 2. appear in your saved games in the place you put them after they're renumbered.

I've been reading through the thread about the cc chairs being unusable. Does anyone know if there is a verified way to fix them? I'm waiting for a batch fix but not sure that there will be one. If anyone could let me know that'd be great, even better if you let me know how to fix them lol. Thanks!

Ooh, I'm impressed by the save game cheat. Didn't think there was anything that could be done about that part at all. I'm curious, though -- is this 'EA has shown signs of insisting that 32-bit instances are here to stay' or is this 'we still think they're going to change it back, but they're taking their sweet time and we don't want everyone to be stuck in a chair-less limbo for a month or more'?
