Hi just ran the batch fix for cc chairs with the cheats. it said no fixes needed. I opened up my game to test it out and they were still broken. Am I doing something wrong😭 Edit: Wait do i have to run both batch fixes. so the one that alters the save and the batch fix in the tool options. if so in which order do I do so. The cheat is an experimental option for experienced users of CC and S4S. It is not necessary at all, it's just a convenience feature for people who had a lot of CC chairs in their saves to avoid having to replace them all by hand, and it only works after you've already successfully fixed the chairs. The batch fix must be run on a folder which contains the files for your broken chairs. (It's ok if they're in subfolders within that folder.) Make sure you didn't accidentally pick a folder to run it on that caused it to ignore your chairs. (e.g. if your chairs are in Mods/BB and you accidentally ran the fix on Mods/CAS, or if you have your CC sorted by creator and you accidentally ran the fix on a single creator's folder instead of the whole Mods folder) Also, slottable chairs that aren't categorized as either dining/desk chairs or bar stools may not be recognized as needing to be fixed. Thank you I ran the fix. But now it won’t allow me to run the saved batch fix because my “antivirus” is not allowing it to access my logs folder. The funny thing is I don’t own any antivirus software. It might have something to do with the built in windows security defence. I have tried playing around with this and it still hasn’t worked. Any solution 🤷🏽♀️ |

hey_Harrie posted on their Patreon page “ I've been in contact with EA as the changes that were made in the last patch didnt seem to make any logical sense. So I wanted to double check that the changes made where intentional. I have been informed that the changes made to these items in the last patch were NOT intentional, therefore I have decided not to update my cc as there should be a future patch that reverts the chairs and stools back to their previous state.” EA created such a mess!

Easy peasy chair fix 1 Put the clone package in the mods folder in S4S 2 Open S4S and search for content object and choose selective cloning 3.Clone the object and check 32 bit - check ALL the boxes. 4 save the cloned object over the old package with CC seat. Same name, but updated 32 bit. And no, you can not do this with merged files, need to unmerge them. Hi, I just came across this thread and I am not understanding your instructions. Where do I get the clone package from? There's no folder like that in S4S. Can you be more specific and detailed as I am not savvy with this program? |

You probably don't want to follow these instructions any longer, since they are instructions for fixing chairs one file at a time, and they were written before the batch fix existed. Most players wouldn't have a reason to use these instructions now that the batch fix exists. |

I got my self in some trouble here 8-) I batch fixed my chairs and used the cheat fix also, voila my chairs worked and after that I merged my furniture. The problems started when I unmerged furniture, to remove and add some other furniture. My chairs are for the most not approacheable in sims4studio anymore and I cannot find them in the game either :'( What must I do to fix this? anybody know?

Hello,
I ran the chair batch fix. Most of everything seems to work fine now except living room chairs slotting into bubble blowers/hookahs. It also seems to be broken for campfire slotting. Maybe living chairs were overlooked in the batch fix?

The cheat fix doesn't work for me. I fixed the chairs but everytime I try to use the cheat fix, I have no backup created for my savegame, I have just a file with "no fix needed". So I don't know what to do because I have full a houses with custom chairs. I have spent so much time furnishing and decorating my rooms and I can"t waste my time in refurnishing everything.. Maybe I have done something wrong as it seems that the cheat code is working for other people. I really need help. Thank you in advance

Hello! As i was creating a bedroom with bunkbeds i discovered that bottom bed is having the same issues like chairs and barstools after update. Bed works fine if is not under bunkbeds. Same with sofas. I had to change sofas and beds to 32 bit to get them to work. Is there any chance to add beds and sofas to batch fix? Thank you in advance!

Hi, I posted on this thread before when the batch fix was first released for the cc chairs. I was able to fix it at that point but as I started playing again this week, my chairs were not working again. I tried to delete and then redownload the batch fix file and tried to look through content management for fixing the chairs but didn't see anything regarding cc chairs. If anyone has advice, please let me know as like all of my restaurants are cc chairs and they're pretty useless rn lol

rosegoldhaley17, see if my post HERE might be of assistance in how to fix your chair issues... ...please pay particular attention to this part at the end of my post: "Also, RUN BOTH. Batch fix first, then the Cheat. Make sure to keep the backup made by sims4studio until you know your saved games are working." FYI, sims4studio has had a couple of updates since my post so (a) make certain you have the newest version, and (b) both the chair/barstool batch fix AND the cheat are still working in the newest version. I hope this helps 😊

Does anyone know if Maxis rolled back the changes to the chairs etc yet? Afaik they didn't mean to do it, so I'm assuming it's rolled back already or will be in the future?

With the update to The Sims 4 that came out yesterday (May 27, 2021) I came acrossed an issues involving slotting of items like dishwashers, chairs, objects, etc. causing the parent object and sometimes the secondary object to go textureless and black, I am wondering if anyone else is having this issue or knows of a way to fix it without something like when a fix is found manual or a batch fix being needed. I have seen this issue occur for people who hadn't updated the Brighter Foundations mod by Lotharihoe, and not for anyone else. |
