Hello, I've been trying to change the UV map of this hair, and when I compare the original file with the one where I changed the UV map, everything seems fine. The hair also shows up correctly in S4Studio. But when I open the hair in game, it's entirely black no matter what skin color I choose. Here's my file with my custom UV map: HERE

There's no diffuse texture in your package. If it looks fine in S4S, my guess is either the texture is loaded elsewhere in your CC packages for S4S but not in your game, or you intended the hair to take the skin color but the game won't accept a missing diffuse.

Hi, I did intend for the hair to take the same color as the skin, because that's what the original creator of this hair seemed to have done and it works fine, the only thing I did was to change the UV map. I just tried to add a blank diffuse map but it doesn't change anything, the hair still shows up as black in the game... What should I do? ):

Try a diffuse that's completely erased to transparency. Edit: I tried it myself and got part of the hair skin color and part black. You've mapped part of the hair onto a section of the skin textures that's transparent and shows up as black in-game. The pic of your uv map on a skintone texture shows what I mean - you need to keep the hair out of the gray area. Picture

So just an empty/transparent PNG file? I did that but it still shows up black in the game (sorry I'm kind of new to CC creating so I might be doing something wrong)

I just edited my post above while you were typing, lol. You'll need to also edit the uv map again, but with a transparent texture you should see part of the hair as skin color. If you're still seeing it all black something else may be going on. You can upload your package again if you'd like me to take a look.

I resized the UV map like you said, now it's not bleeding into the gray area anymore, but the hair still shows up black in the game D: Here's my updated package, with the new UV map and a transparent PNG as diffuse map And here's also the same updated package, but this time with my custom texture that I intend on using on this hair once I have solved the issue with it showing up black in the game - this texture is almost entirely transparent save from some pink markings I painted on the tip of the tentacles, I also tested it in game and the tips show up correctly but again, the rest of the hair that's transparent is still black! UPDATE: Okay, I was suspicious that this might be a bug coming from my other installed mods and I was right, upon launching the game with only my custom hair package and no other mods, it works perfectly well. But I really have no idea what CC might be causing THIS particular hair to glitch out in the game...

Glad you figured it out - I was wondering if it was something going on in your game also because with the missing diffuse in your original package I got the red and white question mark effect on the sim instead of black hair.
My guess, and it's only a guess, is that it might be a custom skintone, or perhaps the hair that you got the mesh from if it's still in your game. Neither of those make a lot of sense, though. You'll probably have to track down the conflict with the 50-50 method - add half your CC back in, if the problem appears remove half of that batch, if it doesn't appear add half the remainder in, and keep narrowing it down that way.
