Mine is doing the same thing. I've never had trouble with older versions...

Mine is simply not letting me edit the path. I click on browse, go to the right folder and select it, but the path does not change. What am I doing wrong?

Hey, just fixed the problem. I put the sims 4 folder inside the origin games folder. Then tried it again.

i seem to have the same problem. i can't change the game path at all. it doesn't change when i choose a path, and seems to be set to "C:\Program Files (x68)" instead of "C:\Program Files (x86)". moving it to the origin games folder doesn't seem to work, either.

The right path isn't in your programs folder. It's in your documents folder. This should work out just fine.

Mine is simply not letting me edit the path. I click on browse, go to the right folder and select it, but the path does not change. What am I doing wrong? I'm having this exact same problem. I've never had this problem before, I'm wondering how to fix it because even moving my game to origin games does not work. Is there a way to fix this problem?

Having the same problem after installing 2.6.1.0 of Studio, My game path isn't the normal one because of errors, I keep it at
c:\Program Files (x68)\The Sims 4\
As it looks now I can't edit the path at all, I get the window up to configure it, choose the correct path in the drop down list and click ok, but when that window closes it still says the default path, as in it doesn't change to what I've written. I had no problem with this in Joy and had the path set to the same folder I have now. Please help!

ohmykomu apparently that's a bug that will be fixed in an upcoming version of s4s according to orangemittens, so we'll have to wait patiently

I only have Program Files and Program files (x86) on my computer and I couldn't change the file path but I created a new folder called Program Files (x68) and moved the game folder there and now it works fine.

After some windows updates the issue got fixed, I am not sure how, but now it lets me configure the path to wherever I want it to be. So I am happy about that, but I am still unsure why it wasn't letting me before. Oh well...it works for me now -shrugs-.
