so before yall yell at me for putting this in the wrong place, i went to the correct folder to add this in it was called error reporting but there was no button to add a post or reply to anyone who had posted there. the general chat folder is actually open for posting so im putting this here since i dont have the permission to add to the correct folder and whatnot with my account being minutes old.
now that thats out of the way
im having a problem whenever the sims studio exports a mesh to blender. the file becomes corrupt by either blender, or the sims 4 studio. all i get is a blank field. i have tried exporting about 6 different meshes.
it looks like the image links on this thing are broken too so heres a link to the photo: ibb.co/9bD2FDM
i am using blender version 2.79 (i have to use this version) and the latest version of the sims 4 studio so there may be some conflict here. i am also using a windows 10 computer. please tell me what version of the sims 4 studio to use that works with blender 2.79. if its because of my windows 10 computer, i am able to get a windows 7 computer and Windows 2000 only. I cant get a mac.
if its just not gonna work then it wont work dont lie to me and have me trying all this different stuff in the comments just to make fun of me when i actually do it so yall can waste my time.
SERIOUS REPLYS ONLY

I had this problem too. Sims 4 Studio doesn't support any version of Blender past 2.76a. S4S needs to talk to blender to transfer the files so 2.76a has to be the default blender program on the computer. Since it doesn't support 2.79 it can't talk to it. Download 2.76 release here. You can also have 2.79 installed at the same time if the computer can handle it. Download the 2.79 zip here and unzip to where you want to put it on the computer. To run it, open the application file in the folder.

sigma1202 Interesting because the post for the windows installer of wishes says it only supports 2.76 or 2.70. I would love it it 2.79 worked but it didn't.

Huh. I reinstalled it and it works. Maybe it was conflicting with an add-on or something. The user preferences seem the same, the makehuman add-on is gone though, I can't remember if there were others. Oh well, it's wonderful that it works! sigma1202 Thank you! ^_^

If you know where you exported the mesh too, which folder I mean, then open Blender click 'Open' and search until you find the folder with the exported mesh and you should be able to open it just fine.
