Eventually found the Sims 4 Studio download. Win10 detected the file as a threat, then my virus checker AVG detected this as a threat also? It was the right download. Don't know what is going on?

Despite the warnings from Win10 Defender and AVG, I went ahead for the download and installation of Sims4 Studio. No problems. Maybe someone could explain why I had these warnings?

Where did you get the file from? Was it from here?
What threat is being reported? Could you give us a screenshot?

I will check if these were recorded in a list. Everything is OK. Not sure why there was a threat detected by Defender and AVG? Maybe instead you could tell me why Studio does not show any custom content? Thanks

I've covered this several times for several people. Not mad or anything, so I hope it doesn't come off as such.
Windows 10 is a whiny butt when it comes to downloading .bat files and .exe files such as the installer. It will always flag them as potentially dangerous until you white flag it with your web browser and virus and malware scanner of choice. There's nothing wrong with the download.
I don't remember the exact message since I haven't seen it in ages.
However, the message is something like... this site isn't secure and you're downloading an exe that could potentially be harmful to your system. Are you sure? Then you have to click something like "run" or "download anyway" instead of the "take me away from here" button and you can get to the download fine. I've been on this site for years and this site is NOT a place to worry about jerks trying to steal your data or break your system.
You just need to white list downloads from s4s with your virus scanner, your web browser and/or maybe even windows. I can't recall the exact directions on how to do that, but if you google it with your particular programs used. It's out there on how to do it.
It's just windows being an overprotective nanny. She will always nag you about exes and batch files. The funny thing is, if it's zipped up... you don't see that particular message pop up.
