I'm new and have a few questions any one use a Mac ?

I'm really new here (as far as studio goes). I've been playing sims since 1999 I know that's a long time. Just basic game play usually just downloaded a pre made house used a random person dressed to my liking and play yes Ive used a few cheats for money and needs but that it. I've adventured into building. I build my house which came out pretty close YAY! I did adventure into using mods. now I'm on to my Grandma house, however her house is older and I'm having issued finding mod that I need for her house or I find them for sims 2 or 3 (very frustrating) some things are super simple so I thought maybe I could adventure into making them myself. I run on a Mac Mojave 10.14.6 . I have stubbled that I will need something to save a DDS file. I do own Photoshop CS6. the website I went to for a plug in Nvidia looked to be for windows only.. any advice ? suggestion ? threads I should read ? videos I should watch ?
