After being forced to downgrade to The Sims 4 Legacy Edition, every time I open Sims 4 Studio, I see a pop up that says: Unable to find The Sims 4. Please configure your game path. I press OK and I'm taken to the settings pop up. My current settings after playing around a bunch are: The Sims 4: Applications>The Sims 4.app Sims 4 Documents Documents>Electronic Arts>The Sims 4 Legacy Edition I can't find anything on the forums about this same problem or s4s not working with legacy edition. Is it supposed to work? What should my settings be? I already re-downloaded s4s and I still get the same pop up. I'm not very tech savvy...Please help!

Bumping. Can anyone help me? "The Legacy Edition is installed as DLC in the Sims 4 installation folder. There are two new folders <Origin Games Installation folder>\The Sims 4\Delta_LE und <Origin Games Installation Folder>\The Sims 4\Game\Bin_LE. The Bin_LE folder was installed by the patch and is necessary for everyone. After starting the game for the first time, the game also creates a new folder in your user folder called The Sims 4 Legacy Edition in. You’ll find all save games, mods, screenshots, tray files, etc. there. Read more HERE on Crinrict’s page." So what should I do to get S4S to work with Legacy Edition?

It looks like you are using the OSX version. In document>electronic arts I have two folders: The Sims 4 The Sims 4 Legacy Edition I keep my settings as below: I keep the document link as the old pre-legacy edition link. I think legacy edition uses files from both places.

I think the problem is that instead of The Sims 4, mine says The Sims 4.app Everything else is the same once I changed it to your settings. I just can't find it in my applications..?

I am having this problem, too. I just updated to the most recent version of Sims 4 Studio to see if that would help, but I am still having this pop up come up: "Unable to find The Sims 4. Please configure your game path." So I try to reconfigure it, but it isn't working. This error message comes up: "An error has occurred. Please report this. Thanks " I figured I would just look it up and find a way to fix it and this was the website I found. My settings look like: The Sims 4: Macintosh HD > Applications > The Sims 4.app Sims 4 Documents (me) > Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 Legacy Edition Blender Path: Macintosh HD > Applications > Blender.app I cannot find the Sims in my application folder, but I can see it on my Launchpad. I never click on the icon on my Launchpad. I have The Sims 4 as a folder in the Electronic Arts folder as well as The Sims 4 Legacy Edition. I don't know if I should delete The Sims 4 folder and just keep The Sims 4 Legacy Edition, but I have had no issues running The Sims 4 Legacy Edition which is why I kept it. Please help!

Hello! sorry im a little late. But you need to rename the file to only "The Sims 4". Why you ask? Because AND I REPEAT, because sims 4 studio will ONLY read "The Sims 4". Just like you know how the configure path isn't gonna read anything other than the path it was originally supposed to be? (im talking about the C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4 because it will ONLY read that path and nothing else) Yep. Pain in your kabooski? Totally! But anyways to save you hours on top of days this is all you need to do.

If it doesn't work let me know. ------------------------------------------------------- I've tried but that's just what it's called and I can't change the name without ruining my game... s4s is not very friendly to Macs :(
