I've never heard of rotation or positions for VFX, not even in clips, so I don't think they exist unfortunately. Try assigning a different bone instead?

Okay, so further looking I found this info, but it's inside an interaction and not buffs (and also an animation file?), including via the TDESC, which means buffs don't and probably can't use it. Soooo I don't think any of the info will work, but it's worth a try. You might be able to trick the game using roundabout methods to get this to work, but I don't know enough to give advice on that. I still recommend adjusting the bone and see if it's satisfactory if this doesn't work. <V n="content" t="staging_content"> <U n="staging_content"> <V n="animation_ref" t="enabled"> <U n="enabled"> <T n="factory">146159<!--AnimationElement: Object_Basketball_Shot--></T> <U n="overrides"> <L n="vfx"> <U> <T n="original_effect">fx_basketball_shot</T> <U n="replacement_effect"> <V n="effect" t="play_effect"> <T n="play_effect">ep03_basketball_miss_close</T> </V> <V n="effect_joint" t="override_joint"> <T n="override_joint">b__R_Stigmata</T> </V> <V n="target_joint" t="override_joint"> <T n="override_joint">_FX_swish_target</T> </V> <V n="target_joint_offset" t="override_offset"> <V n="override_offset" t="random_in_circle"> <U n="random_in_circle"> <V n="axis" t="z" /> </U> </V> </V> </U> </U> </L> </U> </U> </V>

Sorry to necro-bump this post, but did you ever get this working, Stevensmi? Do you even have the semi-working version?

Sorry to necro-bump this post, but did you ever get this working, Stevensmi? Do you even have the semi-working version? And sorry to you for the late reply! Yes, got both the buffs & flies placement working and still working as of now. Unfortunately, as for the rotation... I still haven't figured it out back in 2020. But I managed to get the results I wanted By placing 2 / 3 vfx effects both on the front & back of the body. I can't remember exactly where I placed the flies vfx, But If I remember correctly, there were 2 flies placed on the sim. 1 on the hands and the other the back. I will upload my mod here so you can have a look. Edit: Here You Go: drive.google.com/file/d/1AEyclh5TgzeWMpMuwctmIVEuEwsl53i6/view?usp=sharing
