Hi all My name is Rosa, I'm from South Africa. I'm 47-years old and have played Sims since Sims 1 came out....I always get the latest updates/packs etc. I do NOT create CC....I use S4S to organise my CC, but have only recently started doing this.... I'm currently at about 100Gb of CC, which I don't use all of the time, but I like to have it around in case I need something. However, I truly detest MaxisMatch Hair especially, and want to get rid of it. How can I distinguish in S4S if something is MM or Alpha...is there an easy way? Thanks for all the great CC creators out there....me not liking MM doesn't mean that they are not doing a great job, I just prefer Alpha CC personally. Thanks & regards to all Hello! It's great to here that you've gotten so much use out of S4S despite not being a cc creator! The community would be nothing if not for the people who take the time to download and share the cc made by others! As for your question, I don't think there's an easy way to get rid of MM hair. There isn't any option to tag items in S4S for whether they are alpha or maxis match, sorry. That's because the only real difference between alpha and maxis match hair is just the difference of the mesh that's being used. So, if you wanted to get rid of hair, or, at the very least, hide them from CAS and/or disable for random, you're going to have to individually alter each hair in the game and the ones you have cc of. Or maybe there is someone whose already done that before and you just need to find it. Either way, if you want to continue to talk about this subject, I suggest starting a thread in the Request forums HERE and maybe you'll find a modder whose willing to help you out! Happy simming!  |

Hello Everyone!! I am Sahmormakstevmom...or Lori for short. LOL. I have been an avid fan and gamer of The sims Franchise WAAYYYY back when sims were just storylines in SimCity and Sim Golf. Yeah that long. I have literally every game, expansion, and stuff pack. I am also dabbling in Modding for Sims 4. I haven't posted any here but I do play with them in my own version. I truly want to get the knack down and be able to post so of my mods here in the near future. I have paused with all the updates coming out from the Eco Living expansion.

However, I'm new to modding and registered here after reading all your helpful tutorials and playing with S4Studio for a bit. My main interest are script mods for a better gameplay experience. Hello everyone! My name is kellmachine and I am brand new to modding! I've been playing the sims since around 2002/2003, but I only recently started getting interested in mods. I am 26 years old and I am currently pursuing a computer science degree. I took some time off from school when I was younger, and now I'm ready to become a programmer . I've taken some programming classes in Python, Java, and JavaScript and I'm going to be learning C++ in the fall. I'm excited to learn how to mod my game! I complain about the Sims 4 A LOT, so I figured, "Why not just fix the game myself?". I'm sure that's going to prove to be a lot more challenging than expected, but I have a lot of COVID-19 related free time! I look forward to getting to know everyone! |

Hello everyone i'm a new member, i am currently 20 years old i am learning chinese, i'm on my second year at college. I was studying chinese in China due to the pandemic i returned to my country which is Portugal and i'm having online classes, for now. I started doing poses about a month ago and want to make some CC because i need it for my stories and some of them i can't find it so i decided to let go of my lazyness and give it a try! So i will appear a lot in the website with many questions, and many posts. i hope you can help me and have many patience with me, i know nothing about programming. Looking forward to getting to know everyone! |

While it's not required to post the things you make with S4S, I highly recommend doing so by opening up a Creator Studio HERE. Sorry for the late reply but I'm glad to hear that you've been finding the tutorials useful! We all appreciate your kind words, too. As you've probably noticed, most of the tutorials are geared towards making CAS or BB items, but you're definitely still able to use this program to make script mods. Basically, you can use the skills taught in the tuning tutorials but instead of starting with an object, you can start by opening up S4S and "Create Empty Package" under Tools. It might also be useful to check out other websites for their tutorials like ModtheSims. If you need any help with a mod, you check HERE and see if anyone else has ever encountered a similar problem. If not, you can just ask! Once you're happy with your project, consider opening up a Creator Studio HERE and sharing it with the world! Either way, don't forget to leave thumbs ups and comments on your favorite creator's creations! A little love goes a long way! I wish you good luck on all your future projects! |

If you haven't done so already, you should check out our list of tutorials HERE and try some of them out. If you're ever in need of help during the cc making process, that should be your go-to place to seek answers. I don't think I've ever met any simmer who started playing the game because they first watched lets-plays before. I think that's an interesting way to start your simming journey and I'm here for it!
