Hello! First time interacting with an online forum since like 2009 🤧 I feel old lol Anyway! I'm a 20-something yo girl from Italy :D I've been wanting to learn an create CC since forever so here I am. I think my first Sims games ever were the pets one on the Nintendo DS (bad console choice, I know), but the one that made me fall in love with the Sims was the Sims 2 Castaway on the PSP. Since then, I've sacrificed social life for this expensive franchise game. I've started learning how to use and navigate Blender and 3D modeling last year solely for the purpose of creating the Sims CC and now that I know enough about it I want to create nice stuff for the game.
See you around :')

Hi, my name is Noah. I'm 30, from the US in Rhode Island, and I've been playing the Sims since its original release. Currently, I have Sims 4 re-downloaded and only recently learned about CC and mods, and how to install them into my Sims for an overall better gaming experience (I can't believe I never knew about or used any of this stuff until now — how embarrassing). Anyway, I've also become interested in learning to how to make my own CC (eventually mods too) so I'm a complete noob here, but excited to learn everything there is to know with the help of everyone and everything that's provided here!

hi! pardon me if i am doing this wrong, i dont spend a ton of time on forums in general so don't know much about the layout. i am a 21 year old man who has 15,000+ hours of playtime in the sims and am also an artist who is always striving to learn new artistic skills, and cc making is something i've always longed to do and finally want to take the plunge. if anyone has any good advice for someone who just made their first recolor and nothing beyond that yet, the tips would be much appreciated. this is a lot to learn!
love and light to all, from a simmer in NY!

Hi I started playing video games in high school. I'm from U.S.A. New Jersey. I became interested in the Sims when my co-workers kept talking about games, so I started watching youtube videos of people playing and fell back in love with gaming. While watching youtube I learned about custom content and I felt it made the game more fun. From there I was soo curious about how was the custom content made and that lead me here. I have a few items that I have made. I pretty much lover anything tech. I often get frustrated with making game assets but I still come back so I guess I'm obsessed(not in a bad way).
woo woo !!

Hello, I just created an account. I am trying to post a reply in the Wish List thread, but there isn't a reply button there for me. Do I not have access to say anything in that thread?

Hi! I love modding games and I'm hoping to contribute. So far I've only fixed a few broken things. I'm mostly looking into tools like a lot of what s4s does for individual items as a batch fix (e.g. mass add/remove flags for age groups, body frames) and mass add the name tags from the birthday update to all buy/build/cas CC that doesn't have it. I program a lot in my day job so hopefully I can catch on quickly.

My name is Frankie and I've been playing the Sims franchise for far too long. I like recoloring stuff. I'm fairly boring like that.

Good morning everyone, kasmar45 here,
I am a new user this board, but I am an old user everywhere else LOL. I am an old gamer and when I say old I mean in years and years and years. I'm in love with the Sims simulation. I think it is a fascinating game and I really enjoy playing.
I am having one problem right now that I hope I'm going to get an answer to at this site. I have been trying to use skin tones in my Sims four game and for the life of me I cannot figure out how to use them. I get them loaded, Sims four tells me there loaded and yet I cannot seem to get them to work. I tried everything. So if anybody could turn me on to a site that may have a tutorial on how to use skin tones. I would be forever grateful.
Well this seems to be going on quite long so I am going to say bye-bye for now and I will see you around the boards.

Hi my name is Keith, I've been modding for 6 years now & I've been experimenting with tuning for a while now I've created countless mods (mainly with custom objects & traits) like psychics, firebenders, mages you name it I've attempted making it but I figured out how to use zerbu's sims 4 mod constructor custom tuning.......I was experimenting with making my own version of the grim reaper named the goddess of death possessing similar attributes to the reaper but with an entirely unique code/tuning and powers but still based and connected the same..............
So I started off making the trait using the mod constructor and it had already been finished prior to discovering this tuning method but I just could never figure out how to make trait interconnect with the game like how the grim reaper's does but then I realized that it was so much bigger of an answer than simply making a trait, so I went on sims 4 studio and extracted some reaper tuning and I deeply studied all of the mechanics of where everything connects and how the careers operate and how it all comes together so I got many tuning ID's and made all unique copies and changed up a lot of the buffs and verbiages including some of the species variables and that led me to create a trait within my trait and putting the custom tuning bar at the bottom of the trait descriptions and stuff in order to override the preexisting data with the rewritten reaper tuning you see here...........

Eventually I began adding the other tuning codes to the career panel but only the branches of the career not the career as a whole the goal of this creation was to create a similar supernatural being to the reaper without blatantly created another basic reaper like using the same instrumental to a song without using the exact same lyrics eventually, I just added this trait data to different situation, career, role, statistic and whatever else tuning but I kept those tunings the same tuning number so it didn't create a whole new situation it just depends on where you're placing everything like you can change the role tuning number but you can't change the situation number because the goal is to give this person power in that specific situation environment............after all of this I eventually created a person equivalent to the power of the reaper without actually being a reaper and for some reason their powers respond to one another as if they're synchronizing whenever the reaper is reaping like I gave her the power to summon fire the interaction is named Hellfire and whenever this power was used either the grim reaper would show up or another pseudo goddess of death would appear as the form of a normal civilian and whenever I'd add them to my household they'd appear with an abnormal blank trait in their personality bar and whenever they did appear they'd save the victim from death but the question is why didn't the victim die any of those times if the reaper wasn't compelled to resurrect them? Well let me explain a few years back before I was good with traits to make a long story short I had a character that I gave a modded necklace to extracted with reaper tuning embedded within its code I also gave it the ability tom resurrect the dead and it had the effects of the essence of life within it so whenever someone not just an amulet holder died they'd be resurrected and removed from their urn only to be returned back home whenever you called their cellphone....but when I played with this character's life too many times (basically she died about 9 times and was resurrected constantly) one day she just stopped dying and I even had an old mod named the book of chaos who's power was to murder via electrocution, fire you know all that good stuff and still nothing worked and then I noticed she stopped aging all the children from her generation had all aged up and lived full lifespans but she remained the same and as for the reaper she was always associated began to show weakness in their immortality and started to slowly age and then I realized the amulet was connected to this reaper's powers somehow and amplifying the lifeforce of this child.......I know crazy right but I experimented with this same concept on adults and it's like it worked but it didn't last long and the power faded so basically the body of a child is more compatible than an adult because they can store more of this energy I like to call darkforce (I call it darkforce because it's like an inverse for lifeforce plus the reaper is a dark entity so I figured it was clever wordplay) but yeah I also tried to see if she could retain this power without her gem and it faded within a day or so............That's also why made this goddess because once I figured that out and how this energy can make you invulnerable and immortal I wanted to make a being I could siphon even more of this power from and honestly to test my skills to see if I could create something of equal caliber or even more powerful....someone more powerful and I did it took a hell of a long time but I cracked the code literally......... there's alot more to the story but that's the best spiel I could give without writing a whole book about my discoveries...........But yeah I hope to post this mod soon and I can give a greater explanation of her powers and abilities and other connections I've witness between her and the reaper if you really wanna know more...........and hey who knows maybe my story can help you create other amazing traits and objects & I hope you enjoyed my findings thank you.............

hi, i'm mikya, a modder and artist. i host a majority of my content on modthesims but i am expanding into 3D cc rather than code mods. i like to texture most. so hi! i don't know if i've ever posted on here before but i think i'm not allowed to post in the s4s suggestions forum until i do. EDIT: what are the required credentials for suggesting things for S4S? i have a suggestion that could be a very simple fix and make the game a lot less limited for custom gender sims.

Hello, I'm Rae I was first introduced to the sims through youtube videos and playing the My Sims series. I then graduated to the Sims 3 (which I still enjoy playing today) and now the sims 4. I have been using sims 4 mods since 2015, but I just recently decided to make my own. I have made a couple of functional mods and recolors using mod constructor and of course, sims 4 studios. I someday hope to make more and share them with you all!

Hello sims 4 Studio Team Here is Niels, a long time Sims player and S4S lurker from Germany I desided to sign up today because I want to have the ability to ask Sims4 game related questions and maybe even help if I know the awnser I have 2 cats and 1 dog. My parents own a restaurant and of course I work there, too. In my free time I like to play the Sims for a bit of reality escape and I love to create some overrides and recolors with the awesome software Sims 4 Studio! I really love this forum and all the helpful info that is given here. Thanks for letting me be a part of this forum. Niels
