Hi everyone! I'm Leah and I'm new to Sims 4 I find it a bit confusing since I am more used to Sims 2, but it's also exciting (when I'm not tearing my hair out in frustration). I mostly did Sims 2 recolors and hoping to do the same for Sims 4. So glad I found sims4studio and the lovely tutorials... I'm going over to the custom wall/maxis match tutorial now.

Miranda & Simore so good to have you here! Katsuai, I went from Sims 2 to Sims 4 so can relate. However, once you get started you will find that recoloring for Sims 4 is pretty easy. You can post your questions here: Welcome to Sims 4 Studio!

Hey all you fabulous Simmers!! I'm Angela (abgirlee, abgirleey on other sites). I have played The Sims since Sims 1, skipped 2 and fell madly in love with 3, which I played only on x-box until around Jan 2013. Then I switched to PC but there were just SO many nightmares trying to deal with all the issues/bugs with the game until I found the modding community who finally made it playable for a while. At first, and a little bit still, I wasn't crazy about switching over to Sims 4, but 3 has just become too much of a nightmare. The Sims is, very literally, a life saving escape for me. Unfortunately, I am disabled from a car accident and haven't been able to work since around 2009. I don't leave the house much and deal with a lot of other craziness in my life, so The Sims is my happy place and this amazing community of modders are who I consider friends. Plus we all have the one thing in common - together we suffer EA's...what's the word I'm looking for...stupidity, I guess, and blatant disregard for their players, not to mention that they seem to love making things difficult for their players/modders. But we do it all together because of our love for our pixel dolls. LOL I am brand new to modding, although I have read hours and hours and tried a bit just scratching the surface. I walked through about half the Tutorial Orangemittens made, start-finish-accessory-mesh-beginners, last night and began to see how much is involved with meshing and cc. I was a Systems Engineer in Information Technology for years, so I have some background knowledge of programming and web design, but no experience with 3-D stuff. I really want to focus on making clothes for TS4, so I'm going to start there I guess. I'm sorry for the long post, just wanted to give a little of my background and give you guys some props for being available to help us noobs learn. I am truly awed at what talent you all have and am so appreciative of all the CC creators and modders out there. You all are the best and I appreciate you for sharing your time and knowledge! Thank you!!!

Hi all, My name is Domitille and I have played The Sims 2, 3 and now 4. I'm 39 and French. So excuse my bad English I love creating new coloration for objects like paintings, rugs, wall and so on... I tried to creat objects but it was too complicated for me. So I gave up for this part. Now I try to learn using Photoshop by myself. I'm very happy to have discovered "sims 4 studio" it is the thing that was missing for me to enjoy fully the Sims 4. Thank you so much !

Hi I'm Sharon, long time member of BPS. Ive been playing since The Sims first came out way back. I love Sims 4 and I really want to convert some of my Sims 2 meshes, but I must admit I am feel a bit daunted by the process and have not done anything about it yet, although I have done a few recolours for my game. Thank you so much for all your hard work!

Hi Sharon, it's great to meet you...welcome to Studio forums! Studio has streamlined the process of getting a mesh in .obj format into the game. It shouldn't be difficult to convert your meshes for the new game. Check out the tutorial section and, if you run into questions, feel welcome to post in a tutorial thread or the Creator Help section
