Bakie It is really neat to learn where people hail from  I myself am from Canada but my Oma is from Holland which makes me part dutch and my Opa is hungarian which makes me that and then my father is French, i do love culture and learning all about different ones, so any cc you make that has you know dutch influences I would love to see that :D

To see what name to type for the @ you can hover your mouse over the person's name above their avatar. When I started this forum it automatically made my user name admin for some reason. I, of course, changed that to orangemittens but the @ will only work for the first user name you have. Anyone who changes their user name will have the same issue if you direct an @ to their new name instead of finding their old name by hovering.

Or are those the parents of your mother? And how did you live in Canada then? You have a family that travels a lot? Would love to go to Canada one time, it's beautiful out there and much less flat then The Netherlands and more interesting animals! Though I'm going to watch some Red deers tonight as it's the time of bellowing right now. So hope to make some nice pictures and video tonight. |

My mother is Dutch/Hungarian she is their daughter. My Opa was born in Saskatchewan and my Oma moved to Canada when she was younger. Canada is beautiful, except the weather could be better, mother nature is having a hissy fit! Yea there are alot of Dutch people down in my area we live by the water so I am assuming it is similar to the Netherlands, I would love to go there one day! :D There are quite a few interesting animals, I live in the bush so I see plenty; white-tailed deer, wild turkeys, there is the porcupine we have named him Fred and he comes and eats the apples that fall of the trees haha, he is pretty cute and minds his own business. I seen my first owl the other day flying down our drieway. Hear coyotes all night long. Once my gf and I went for a walk later in the evening through some trails and we heard this growling and stomping, immediatly we thought BEAR and both knew not to run, but booked er home so fast anyways hahaha it was scary but I laugh about it now. I have also come across ALOT of unwanted friends....spiders, very different looking ones. EW I added pics, there is one of a baby frog too, so cute.     |

sweetsorrowsimsOw your oma is living in Canada now! You can give her "de hartelijke groeten uit Nederland!"  Those are some nice pictures! I love the colors of the spider, but I hope this one was outside the house? Found it's a "Black and Yellow Garden Spider". Couldn't they name it something more creative? (Ow another name is "Golden Orbweaver" that's sounds much better ) That little frog is cool too! Looks like some sort of tree frog. And that porcupine, whish we had such animals here. Though they can be quite dangerous I thought. I made some nice photos and video of red deers yesterday. But haven't sorted them out yet. Maybe I can make an animal post in the off topic section, where people from all over the world can place pictures/videos they made themself of animals that live in their countries.

I thought for sure I introduced myself here, but I guess not...? My name is Tarryn, I usually go by 'T'. The only place I really hang out online is Tumblr and here, if I'm not on those, I'm playing games like TS2, TS3, TS4, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Fallout 4 (will take up lots of my online time once it's released), and Skryim are the main, continuous ones. On tumblr I'm taintedsim. I'm 30 with 3 (yes, 3!) kids. Um...I have 2 cats? A lizard and hamster...lots of plants. Okay, yea, I'm pretty boring, lol.
