Nobody is a, "Newbie" - You all Rock! (Ha!)
°The Term - "Newb", and/or, "Newbie", is used for Military Recruits @ their' First active Duty Station. It is rather cute how the Civilian sector has latched onto the slang word - if you want to be a, "Newbie", in real Life, You will be harassed for @ least a Month...ha!
°The Opposite of, "Newbie", is the word - "Short". Short, is when you are leaving the Military - The last few Months are the best, because you can Yell out - "SHORT!!!". It ends with a Ceremony of spray-painting your Combat Boots ORANGE, or RED - any BRIGHT COLOR and Tossing them way up High over Telephone pole lines; @ least that was back in the day.
-Rock On! Welcome all! (Ha!)

Welcome sillyplumbob , voodoobg and applesause ! Hope you enjoy it here and don't hesitate to ask if you need support in anything! @stevenssimsstuff thank you for that background information on the word "newbie" - there are a lot of military people (both male and female) in my family but I didn't know that. May I ask if it is first hand information (just curious, don't feel obliged to answer) and in which country is that custom? And did you mean "newbie" as an American or British military term or maybe somewhere else? J Mzungu about the dichotomy between number of downloads/number of followers - I try to value quality over quantity in how the "general public" find my cc. I'm happier with something I produce that make 2 people really happy, happy enough to maybe write me about it or just truly enjoy it day after day - then have hundreds of people add it to a list and forget what it is, what it means, who made it. I don't mean to sound egotistical, I'm not looking for people to come worship my cc or my cc abilities, quite the contrary, I am happy to serve bringing value to people's lives. Or people's Sims lives. I don't expect them to "remember my name" but I would like them to remember what the cc meant, e.g. if it's a painting series that celebrates a certain artist, or a appreciation gift of something historical, or culturally significant, things like that. A bit like the movie industry really - sure, general Hollywood blockbusters are a safe bet if you want numbers and money, they grab your attention for two hours but many are sculpted from the same mold (hero/heroine/antagonist/plot/car chase...)- and at the same time there are some independent movies that make you go "wow, that made me think - that made me view the world in a different way". And you are in some "minor" way transformed, touched by the movie, even though you only have a few odd looking guys in the movie theater with you instead of a stereotypical time-planned jam packed session. Chances are, those few odd looking characters who came to see it, really really wanted to see it and have been planning to see it all year and keep the ticket afterwards and write about it in forums and imdb etc... versus the thousands who see the blockbuster because they were bored and won't remember it afterwards. I don't know, I always seem to be with the nerds, geeks, freaks (from back when that was NOT popular), etc rather than the popular kids lol. But I like it, it's my place!

It's from the U.S. Army, i served from '85 - '93. I enlisted as a, "Fixed-Wing Crewchief"(67G), and worked on Military Intelligence Aircraft the first couple of years. We were all forced to reclassify our Jobs, (MOS)...and i was not Happy about it, to me it was a Breach of Contract - Made a Captian Angry and a Colonel too...so, they Reclassed' me as a, "Combat Engineer"(12B); and sent me away to Germany, after my School. Back then, the Wall was still up and Life as a Combat Engineer, was - politely' put - NOTHING like a Crewchief Mechanic on a Fixed-Wing Aircraft...hahaha! Our Mission, among other Fun, Dangerous things - was to Blow the Hell out of Germany - when and if the Russians decided to invade. Things like Demolitions in all of the Bridges, The Nuclear Power Plants and other assorted - "Let's Kill Ourselves, why Not?", FUN. Ha! As you can imagine, when we were not in the Field - which was most of the Year - it was an insane Party atmosphere, when you know you could Die on any given day. This is where I heard the First, "NEWB/NEWBIE" along with, "SHORT", terminology. When the Wall came down, everyone was taken by surprise - but not Congress, they De-Activated our Unit @ Rheinland Kaserne and sent us E-4 and lower ranks to Iraq. It was, "Hey - Thank's, now go to War over HERE....". Ha! They needed 2 People to go with 101st Airbourne Division, from a list, into Iraq. It SUCKS when you're last Name begins with - "B"....hahaha! Alphabetical Buttslam, only in the Military. So, it was off through Iraq - i drove a 5-Ton with a Gems Mine Machine and about 3 tons of mines loaded, and in the back. I had a picture of my Newborn Son and my German wife taped to the Window...and i was scared. Not about dying, about what would happen to them - if that happened...that can mess with your' head. Long story short, War over in 3 days - sent to Colorado and Graduated Honor Grad @ PLDC, passed the Board and Left the Military - for 1 Reason......(At Ft. Carson - they were painting EVERYTHING Desert Camoflauge, EVERYTHING. I noticed this and asked a Civilian worker about it... "Oh, You guys will be going back in a few years.".). That stuck in my' Head....and He was right. Now, i live in Germany...since '97...never been back Home, that's another Story. Rock On!

Wrong cow tail. Plus seems caramel is a lot tastier then a tail tail. How do you know? Welcome ookamipapillon ! It is scary! And the biggest reason it's scary, is because it's freaking addictive. So don't say I didn't warn you! If you decide that you're going to make Custom Content despite my warning, then promise to have lots of fun and ask everything you need to know here on The Sims 4 Forum! Welcome ANDR01D to you too! When does the show start? And how much do I have to pay for a ticket? :P Hope to see your CC soon somewhere on the Forum! Well I can just guess. XD
