Hello. I'm attempting to recolor NotEgain's Nightcrawler Tail (found here: notegain.tumblr.com/post/109195022028/nightcrawler-tail-unisex). Unfortunately, no matter what I've tried, I haven't been able to get it to work. I've previously recolored other cc using Sims 4 Studio and Gimp, so I think I understand how it works. However, exporting the texture file for the tail results in a blank transparent png. I have tried using UV templates as a reference to change the areas for the tail to the color I want but that made no difference. I have also tried looking at the mesh in Blender. Sadly, I have never used Blender before and don't really understand it. I tried moving the mesh points in the UV section to another location hoping to line it up with the colored section of my texture image, but that's all I was willing to try to figure out how to do. Sadly, it did not change anything either. If someone has an idea of how to change the color of the tail so that it is separate from the skin tone of the Sim it is on, that would be awesome. More specifically, I'm wanting it to just be solid black.

Hi, it's because this cc has no texture, and is actually UV mapped on the face. You need to move the UV as you tried and texture it in the new spot. It should work if you just move the UV map, save and import the blender file, and then import a new texture that is in the same place as the UV map.

Ah, ok. I was afraid it was something like that. When I tried to move it before, I moved it to the area I thought was for glasses, and then tried to import a texture with the glasses area colored and it didn't work. I guess I don't quite understand how the UV maps work because every template I've found does not match the dimensions of the UV map in Blender. Therefore, the spot that Blender says the tail is currently mapped to does not line up with the face section on the templates.
When I export the UV map layout from Blender, I get a 1040x1040 image. All the templates I've found are 1024x2048. Placing the Blender layout over the top half of the template where the face is, makes the UV for the tail land inside the section for Hats?
Sorry if I'm just being super incompetent. And thank you so much for replying.

It might've been because you need to create a new image in blender of the size 1024x2048 before exporting the uv. I went ahead and moved the UV and exported the UV .png for you, and you can download it here. Hope this helps
