Hi! Is there an updated version of this tutorial anywhere? The images aren't showing up anymore and I'm a visual learner so I kind of need images to go with the words or I just get lost. :-[

Images are down because of the new Photobucket policy. It has broken a lot of old webs, forums and a lot of content has gone to the trash unfortunately. The creator of this tutorial haven't been in the forum in a while. I'd would recommend you to check his tumblr in case that the images are showing up there (if the tutorial is there too). Tumblr host the images regulary so they might not be broken if you're lucky. :\

I made PDFs of most of the tutorials here just in case something happened like if the pictures disappeared or if the site went down or something. I'd be happy to give the PDF for this tutorial to a moderator so that the pictures can be replaced. Just let me know.

If you can PM the files I can restore the images Thank you.

Hi I'm kind of confused of what this uv_1 actually does to your cc? I've successfully made a hair & its textures without bothering the uv maps, I would like to know if I miss something from this uv thing?

This is an old post but I thought I'd answer in case it helps anyone else. The UV_1 is responsible for how the mesh responds to sliders. If you have no UV_1 your mesh will not morph when you use the sliders.
