Hiya all I'm just posting this because I'm excited to share this news and get some feedback, I've been working on a mod to overhaul spell casters for some time now details are below...
Practiced spellcaster, mischeif master ect
the three schools of magic perks now boost the power of spells, no longer will you need to cast 1000 spells to build charge just so you can boost a spells power. This means that all spells and spell interactions have been updated. this was done because when playing a spell caster with the ancient bloodline it was near impossible to build enough charge.
Potent potables
Now only increases the power of potions, the hex potion interaction has been moved to the aspiration reward mix master
Master Mixer
Master Mixer never fails when using potions on themselves, I also added hex potion and a new interaction bless potion (potion always succeeds) to this trait making it a very rewarding trait.
Slinger of Spells will be able to offer magical contracts be they requests for potions or spells, they can make simolians this way without having to conduct mundane business
The spells themselves
The spells have all been overhauled to make the new boost from practiced spellcaster and mischief master ect perks work as intended some spells have been radically altered as well, also all spells now boost fun when successfully cast.
Florial - Florial now has a grand florial version which is an aoe effect for the spell, this spell also gives gardening xp
Herbio - Herbio now transforms one harvestable into another
Scruberoo - this spell has a ton of new functions including a grand scruberoo version, things like emptying laundry hampers and destroying dirty plates, also added a grand version that is an aoe
delicsio - can now target empty counters and summon food on them
The steal spell in mischief has become furnisha duplicato and has been moved to the untamed school of magic, this was because stealing things is all very well and good but when you have to replace them in build buy it kinda ruins the fun, the solution is to clone the object instead, with a cool down of course.
Repairo - now boost handiness skill when cast when using it to fix a broken object
copy pasto - now can no longer copy potions, this is to encourage the use of the cauldron it can still copy ingredients however
Decursify - has been removed to encourage the use of potion making
THE POTIONS
All the recipes are in the process of being changed to plant based materials only, this it to encourage the use of florial and herbio
Plentiful needs has become Limitless energy and works like the advanced energy potion from sims3 this was because it was to cheaty as is.
This first release will be called stage 1
Stage 2 will feature entirely new spells and potions, there are around 30 new spells/potions planed (some are made) from calling meteors to changing the weather, Im not going to list them here at the moment as the list is constantly growing and shifting.
Would love to here your feedback dislike something let me know so I can change it if there's enough opposition for a change I'm implementing.
