[EDIT 7/1/20 If anyone's reading this seeking an answer to a similar issue (or any issue, really), it could help to read the thread of Common Problems & Helpful Threads. I'm v new to this site but had I known this thread existed and even skimmed it, I would have been able to fix my problem without asking a question. :^) Even so, shout out to the people who pointed me in the right direction. ]
Hello there!
I've been having an issue with a mailbox I've recolored.
Now, I -know- that mailboxes are Debug items, so maybe for some reason this can't be fixed. If that's the case, I'm willing to accept it!
Here's my issue: the mailbox still has an imprint of its old texture on the stone part. It shows up only in sunlight. This came as a surprise when I loaded it in-game, haha. At first, I didn't even notice it.
I'm super-new to cc in general (slightly less so to Sims 4 Studio, which feels very user-friendly!), but especially to Blender. I assume this has something to do with the UV map (on the mesh? am I even using the correct terminology to explain my problem?) but the mailbox doesn't have a "UV map" texture "slot" in Sims 4 Studio so I really don't know how to fix this! And I'm not even sure if I should be looking for a fix in Sims 4 Studio or in Blender. If someone could either walk me through it like I'm a baby or even just point me to a specific video or link that might be able to help me, that'd be great. I think I lack the terminology to even know what I need to look up. I can try asking on a Blender forum instead if y'all would prefer, but tbh I've had a frustrating time over there so far, and every thread I've read over here has been spot-on and very helpful.
I'll try to answer any questions to the best of my ability. Thanks in advance! :^)
