Hey so I recently created Pet beds and I was wondering on how to get them functional so the pets can sleep on them like EA Pet beds I merged my mesh with EA Pet beds but it just says put in inventory in game, is there something else I should be doing? I also followed someones tutorial on here too and that also didnt work and still said put in inventory when I got into game. if anyone could help that would be amazing and very much appreciated x Here is the Blend file (xx)Thank you, Katie xx

Sims can only put pet beds in inventories. Pets need to be selectable and controllable to use pet beds on command (and you'll need a mod for that - I currently use this one: sims4studio.com/post/89311 but I have no idea if it's the most current one or if there are others that work better) Without the mod, pets will use pet beds on occasion, when they're accessible and available. Seems to be a bit random, though. As for the file, you may want to make sure the height of the pet bed pillow is the same as the one you cloned. If it's taller, the pet will sink through (there are probably a few things you can do in regards of fixing this - I don't know if pet beds come with some sort of slots that can be adjusted or some such, but that's an option).

Sims can tell a pet to lay down on the bed for testing purposes. You don't need a mod for that. Keep in mind that there are a few different spots the pet can lay down at so you need to test them all. And if your pet bed has a different height than the default one you can adjust the rig. You would also need to tweak the tuning in your case so pets won't acces the bed from the sides. Here is a tutorial how to do that: linkBut just a little heads up: Large pet beds will come with some small clipping issues most of the time when adjusted in height because the large dogs don't jump into the bed like the small ones do.
