I made some short-slash-pants through Marvelous Designer then through Blender and Sims 4 Studio too I have been trying to find what's causing this but I'm exhausted now, I can't find what's wrong :( This is my first time making CCs, I actually made one before but I didn't took it seriously so it had poor quality I want to take it seriously now and make good quality ones my main problem is this: the pants I made is high-waisted. I don't know how to explain this, but it overlaps with the sim's body.. I figured because I need another bone or vector group(?) to weight paint that area to.. so I did, not sure if I did it right but I somehow did and it improved it but the problem is still there I still haven't added textures because I want this to be fixed first :( When I resize the hips of the sims too it becomes like this: it looks even worse.. another problem I want to point out is, the mesh looks rough.. :( especially when I highlight it, you can see the boxes I've been trying to learn on my own and learn from tutorials but I don't know if I just did something wrong or didn't do what I should have done? I just can't find the right tutorial? Can anyone help me? or at least refer me to a tutorial? :( I've been researching all day and I feel like I'm researching the wrong stuffs haha... here is my file in case.. blender

Hi. Since your garment goes in the top's space, you need to transfer weights and uvs from a full-body reference. Use Nearest face interpolated when transferring a uv_1 You need to close only those holes that are visible. And you should also collapse ( Alt M ) them instead of just scaling down Uvs in the uv_1 map are in the space meant for shoes and tops

thank you so much for replying ^^ do you mean I need to append a "similar" mesh that is a whole body mesh to transfer weighs and UVs from? also, can I ask what do you mean by the holes? o.o oh and the uv_1 you say, do you mean the transferred UV? I should position them correctly as well?

You do not need a similar mesh, you need to ensure that data will be transferred from something. If you were to hide the top in the rig, you would see that there is nothing to transfer the data from in the waist area. The only time you need to think about the shape of the mesh is when working with anything that has a skirt-like bottom. It should be of the same length, can be a bit longer but not shorter, otherwise it will take the data from legs and they are mapped and weight painted differently. So you can just clone a lingerie set and transfer the data from it.
No, what i am saying is that you need to re-transfer them from a full-body outfit so that the waist area of the shorts has the data from the waist area of the body.

I think I understand what you meant.. hehe I transferred the UV and weights from a full body, transferred UVs using near face interpolated option, I also re-positioned the uv_1 map and I closed some holes using collapse. It smoothed the mesh in game but the problem now is with the sliders :( When I used the sliders all the sliders got messed up, the hips won't widen properly, like it's very asymmetrical when I use the slider. The hips also moves with the arm sliders o.o The same with the legs, the sliders are asymmetrical, like it won't scale(?) properly.. blender

You transferred uvs from the wrong uv map. It should be uv_1 to uv_1

Hi! it' finally looking so good ♥ huhu thank you! I transferred the UVs properly now hehe The sliders works perfectly fine now and there was a bit of a problem, there was still this little overlapping but I kind of fixed it by manually painting the weights o.o idk if I did well.. but the overlapping is gone now haha again thank you so much ^^

Just move the part of the body that is poking out a bit away from the garment
