Hi everyone, Being a newbie I can sometimes get carried away with actually getting something to work in the game and then it's a bit difficult to remain objective. Everything I've made so far has used the blank specular found here but yesterday I mucked about with a specular for the first time so am wondering if you think it's ok or not. I'll show 2 pics, with differing lighting for comparison. Thanks for looking.

The shine is super realistic in that first pic, almost like it has a opalescent sheen. It's awesome, but not very maxis match. Really depends on the aesthetic you are going for.

use this in place of the bump map, make your glass specular all white and make the texture around -50 opacity. and watch what results you get! 8-)

oh you don't want it super shiny and reflective? make the spec black than and the bump dark grey

I like the first one, I found those to be very bright especially when stored in a basement. And I really like the bottle.
