Hello everyone!
This is my 1st post. I have been making a mod that replaces movies in game with other movies, and I have created a mod to go with it that changes the text "Watch Movies..." to "Watch Myflix". It's not called MyFlix...but it's not appropriate for this forum.
So I am trying to figure out how to change the color of that text, and add a logo icon next to it, such as what can be seen in the CinErotique mod, where the interaction is pink and there is a logo next to it.
I have been searching and digging for days but I cannot figure out how to do this. I am brand new to modding, and I apologize for my ignorance.

In the future if you want to know how a mod does something, just open the files and check. There's nothing wrong with using another mod as a reference to understand what they did, which can then be used to find EA's version and other examples of it. They used <font color='#f42394'>(insert text)</font> as their format for the string. For other colors just look on the internet, like this website. For the icon you use this format. The p= is not used, so don't worry about changing it. The important part is the instance, which is the longer number. <V n="pie_menu_icon" t="enabled"> <V n="enabled" t="resource_key"> <U n="resource_key"> <T n="key" p="InSP16\UI\Icons\Piemenu\icon_piemenu_murphybed.png">2f7d0004:00000000:bc23e53721ea93b8</T> </U> </V> </V>

Ok first of all, thank you so much. This is the kind of helpful stuff I need. I have ZERO experience making mods however, and have no idea where to begin. I feel like such a burden lol. Where do I insert the code?? How did you reverse engineer it? What did you open it in?
The only experience I have so far, is formatting video to use on the Sims TVs, and changing lines of text. I'm not stupid though, so with a point in the right direction I can figure it all out. I have been trying to learn Mod Constructor, and just messing around with all the options in S4S. Also practicing making poses in Blender.
I just want to be able to act on my ideas, and I feel like a baby in an ocean with no life support. Just looking for a floaty.
I'll just start here: As far as the color changing goes, where would one input that line of code? In S4S when I am entering the new text?
EDIT: I figured out the text color. Now to dig into the icon.

I'm sorry, did you still need help with the icon or did you get it?

I'm sorry, did you still need help with the icon or did you get it? Well... my pride didn't want the help, so I tried to figure it out. But I need the help :P

That's okay xD So in case you didn't get it done yet: What you want to do is find an existing interaction icon to add to your package. Don't use the special EA icons you see on Friendly, Mean, etc. as they are not the same (I made the same mistake, lol). Then you give it a new instance, you can see how in this tutorial (the second option where you use Hash Generator). Then you make your image in the exact same size (should be 40x40) and then you import that new image into your file by using the Import button on the bottom right (not Batch Import). One icon I had handy was the Murphy bed one, 3d2ad5cb5358f863. Just copy/paste that into Game File Cruiser under Tools and filter to DST or All, then click Add to current package.
