Everything else about the conversion process has gone pretty well, so I really thought I had it when I pulled up my game, but then I noticed these unsightly lines/streaks that were most certainly not present on the mesh before:
I noticed this in another similar item that I tried to convert (but I have other issues with that one), so this is a trend with things I'm converting.
I'll just go ahead and provide the Blender file here.

I think you didn't replace original normal map or/and specular map of the original object.

Hello Virelai, I am glad that Thejim07 could help you to fix your issue. Please, could you share this sculpture with us? I would be very happy to have it in my game. Thank you so much in advance.

Thank you. I really want to share the sculpture. I'm still having issues with it, though. Namely, there's a shininess to it (specular map is completely dark, I tried) and the lighting when it comes on it is a bit weird. Sadly, my conversion is not up to the standards of what you see from TheJim07 despite my best efforts.
With that said, if you want to take a look at it, I can provide a download:

Thank you so much. It was very kind of you to share this link. I didn't see Ludwig v B. in my game yet (busy tonight), but it looks very good in S4S. Besides I replaced the bump map with a blank one (800x800)and I don't see any issue. I will test it tomorrow morning in the game and tell you if it looks as good as in S4S. Thank you again.

Is there something wrong with the bump map? I admit, I know nothing about that kind of thing. I used a website to generate that.
Hopefully that does make things look better. In the meantime, I'm also working on importing a second sculpture of Beethoven.

Oh, that's neat! I've never been outside of the US myself. =(
Okay, so no matter what I do, the models still look weird in my game. The pictures you shared don't look anything like mine. Could you share your package of it with me, please?

Oh! I am sorry to hear that you still have issues. Here is the link to the package ( and a pic of the real statue):
www.mediafire.com/file/3xepzm1s1gb2ixj/Ludwig+van+Beethoven.rar/file There is no real difference between your package and "mine". I just replaced your bump with a blank one ( in DDS format), but I bet that it doesn't make any difference and I don't understand why I don't see any issue in my game and why you see weird things in yours.
Well, if you look at the real sculpture, you'll see that it's not as perfect and well polished as a statue of Michelangelo.
Maybe we'll understand what causes the problem with the help of some experts here.
Thank you again and good luck.

No, there is a difference, because whatever you did with the blank bump map you put in as opposed to mine made the shading much smoother and makes the statue look a lot more natural.
I just have two issues I want to handle before making this public, now:
1. Make it less shiny. I don't understand why it is shiny. The specular map is dark black. 2. Change the item so it can be placed on pedestals.
Would you know anything about doing either of these?

Dear Virelay, you know, I am absolutely not able to mesh. I am just a basic converter, thanks to Orangemittens who wrote an amazing tutorial. Well, I can't explain what changes you have to do in order to place the item on a pedestal. Sorry.
Just a (silly) idea for the specular. Is it a DDS or a PNG? As I replaced your bump with a blank one, I did it first with a PNG and it was somewhat dark. Then I converted it to DDS with Photoshop Elements (7)and I got a good light grey color. If I were you, I would try to replace the specular with a blank one, in DDS if you currently have a PNG and vice versa. It's just doing a work with trial and error.
More useful: You should take a look at the many tutorials: Here at Sims 4 Studio there have been plenty of threads and posts about "too much shine" and a great help was provided to many creators.
Anyway you have made a great job with this sculpture and I am quite sure that your issues will be solved soon. Keep up the good work and good luck!
And THANK YOU!

And THANK YOU! Good news, I was able to find out how to handle both. I should be uploading this publicly on my studio soon. You might want to download this version if you want one that goes on pedestals. (also I have another Beethoven statue almost ready)
BTW, I'm not a mesher either, really. I tried a project and failed really bad. Lol. Both this Beethoven statue and the other I plan to upload are free domain models from noe-3d.at @ SketchFab.

Virelai I'm glad to see that you got it fixed. I was just about to upload the fixed file for you lol. In my fixed file I replaced the specular ( Instance FB555876FC8EAC1D)with a blank map size of 32x32. And a grey transparent map 1024 (Instance 92968AA0092E04E1). I have also fixed all your textures which had the wrong dimension size. It may work for you now but for the future, square textures should be 512x512 or 1024x1024 or 2048x2048 and not 800x800, but if it works for you, fine. Great Statue BTW. Thanks. I knew nothing of this. I just resized the original dimensions and thought it was fine as long as I was keeping the same ratio, but it's good to know they are supposed to be certain sizes.
