simpossum No, by 2.76-9 I meant 2.76, 2.77, 2.78, 2.79. Any of these are fine. 2,79 is not very stable though, or rather the plugin for it, it stops working sometimes after s4s updates. I do not know what the transfer weights menu looks like in 2.76 but there should already be Source layers selection at least. This is the main difference between 2.7 and 2.76-9. The authors of old tutorials tell people to use 2.7 because they did not know how to set up the transfer weights menu in the newer versions. The legs are all the same. You can just use the bottom mesh under the rig instead of dealing with split into meshgroups meshes Anyway, please create a new thread and share the pictures and files because by guessing things we will achieve nothing Ok, cool. The range of versions from 2.76 to 2.79. S4S DL page indicates, "To modify meshes or animations, you will need to have Blender 2.76 installed. Blender 2.70 will continue to work with Studio as it has in previous versions, but no other Blender versions are supported by Studio." Has there been a change to that? If so, I'll avoid the buggy 2.79 and get the 2.78c. And I'll prepare some images of the skirt meshes I am working with. Thnx!

Basically plugin for 2.76 works for everybody. 2.7 is still supported because many people still do not know how to vertex paint and transfer weights in newer versions. In the updates Andrew notifies when new plugins are made. As of right now 2.79 is the latest but, as i mentioned previously, it does not work for everybody No support for 2.8+ because these versions of Blender do not work for older versions of Windows. You can still use 2.8+ so long you use the supported versions as a bridge (through Append button instead of Open)
