Trying to make a glass roof recolor and it's coming up as a solid color no matter what I do.
am I missing something? I didn't change anything at all, just tweaked the color and put it back into the same place.
I just wanted to add a oceany green swatch to the existing base game glass roof with no patterns in it.
Could someone point me to a glass recolor tutorial?
thanks

Anyone with glass skills able to give me an idea of what I did wrong? I cloned the glass roof and copied the swatch, changed the color and it's solid instead of glass.

I haven't got any glass skills, but the first thing I would look at if I had any kind of transparency issue with CC is whether the image was saved correctly to preserve the transparency settings it was supposed to have. This might also be relevant (I found it by looking in the build/buy tutorial index here): sims4studio.com/thread/1157/objects-glass-balloon-effect?page=1And this seems very relevant (searched the whole forum for 'glass roof): sims4studio.com/thread/17787/solved-help-couple-projects-stumpedIf none of that does the trick, sharing your misbehaving package file is often the best way for people who do have skillz to see what the problem is.

Hi, I was experimenting with the glass roofs, and I found that if you change the AlphaMaskThreshold in the Material definition it affects transparency. The default was 160, but I found that if I set it to 255 it looks more like my original texture's transparency. (I use .dds.) Your roofs look really nice btw. From what I can tell, it looks exactly like the original except the glass isn't as blurry and it lets the ambient occlusion through.

Thanks. I will look through these and give them a try and if I still can't get it working... I'll post the package.
