Hi everyone, I'm asking this question because I only recently discovered the option for copying string table to all languages, which I've never used before. Is it something that needs to be done if I want my custom description to appear for all languages? If I take a look at the entries for each language, they are the same and correspond to my custom title and description, so is copying string tables really necessary? I'm wondering because if it is then I need to update my build/buy cc. Thank you for your help

It is needed, otherwise the person playing the game in a different language than English will see "*DEBUG*" instead of the text that you gave it.

I see... that is a bit troubling, I wish I hadn't jumped into it without knowing what I was doing. Thank you so much for clarifying that!
MizoreYukii Edit: I had the chance to ask a friend who has the game in a different language about the descriptions, and actually they showed me pictures to show that they match exactly with what I had written, so copying string tables to all languages isn't actually mandatory, then? I'm just curious and want to understand how this works.

Because when you select any of the options from the Object menu (override, Create 3D Mesh, etc.) it automatically puts it in all the languages for you, that's what all those files are for and what the button would do if they weren't present. So unless you're going out of your way to delete them in the Warehouse, you're fine. It's only if you accidentally delete any, need to update the strings, S4S glitches for some reason and doesn't add any, making mods from scratch, etc. As long as they are already present, you don't actually need to copy them. Hope that makes more sense now!

MizoreYukii I see, thank you so much for going out of your way to explain! It all makes perfect sense now and I've become a wiser person :D I always clone from the game and when in doubt I never delete anything, that's probably why I'd never heard about that feature. I'm happy to know!
