xordevoreaux, check the scanline v2 windows of BuffSum, they have been updated (ceiling versions of the taller windows only for now) and I'm using them now in my game so that means some have been retrofitted already for the 9/3 patch. I'm waiting for the Industry doors to be updated myself but so far nothing yet
Will do. Industry is what I'm waiting on as well. Wish I was rich, I could slide Buff some incentive. Glad to know Buff's still at it.

ALso don't download as a set, download from the individual entries for the windows...Scanline Full (ceiling version), Scanline counter, etc.

i think the link for the download-as-a-set is old, even if it says updated 9/21 or whatever date. I tried that first but I still got wall. Out of desperation I tried individual links and then it worked. It's definitely more tedious updating each part of the set one by one but that's how I got the windows to work.

It was the tedium that I was trying to avoid. Okay, I do see a few of the windows in the Bungalow set not updated and the Banks collection doesn't seem to be updated at all despite stamped as updated 9/21. Ugh. Maybe I'll just kiss those off.
I'm also noticing where the cutouts are not perfect. To test, I create a one-room house, fill the interior with bright lights, color the entire interior red, the exterior dark blue, set the time to night, and then look for leaks. Lots of cutouts extending past the windows.

I think if one part had an update then the whole set appears to be fixed. I loaded many sets from Mutske, arches are still all broken, as are windows with angles other than 90 °. Doors and windows for the medium and large wall only have a view through to the small wall. I think I'd rather keep waiting for the patch. Thanks for all the work! (translated with Google)

I think you're right.

Sounds like they may have done a sloppy batchfix instead of waiting for a higher quality one, which is exactly the reasoning andrew gave for not releasing the S4S batchfix yet. S4S probably won't see them as needing a batchfix either, because they'll look correct as far as whether they have the new settings and data in the files. I'll wait and let S4S fix my TSR windows.

TSR has said they have done a site wide fix of windows and doors, but i'm hoping S4S can do a batch fix, as when TSR did a site wide fix of showers and tubs, not all were fixed. Wait, so all the windows on TSR have (theoretically, of course) been updated and fixed for this patch?

Wait, so all the windows on TSR have (theoretically, of course) been updated and fixed for this patch? Everything is nowhere close to being fixed. It's a work in progress. Mutske, for example, seems to be working on windows before going to arches and doors, but there are problems with the results, which, hopefully, can be ironed out by the artists or, if we wait until S4S comes out with a patch, the patch does not introduce the problems below:

Wait, so all the windows on TSR have (theoretically, of course) been updated and fixed for this patch? If you read through the thread more carefully, you will see that it looks like something has been done to many (though apparently not all) windows and doors on TSR, but in many cases it has not been done well. If you download updated windows and doors with badly-fitting cutouts now, you may not be able to easily replace them with better ones later, because the S4S fix will update windows and doors WITHOUT cutouts (a problem which is caused by the patch changing how cutouts work and is also easy to detect), not windows and doors with BAD cutouts (a problem which is caused by human error and also cannot be easily detected). This is why the S4S fix hasn't been released yet -- they want it to work well, to work well on a variety of shapes, and to work well the first time because you can't batchfix the same item twice. If you really can't stand playing with walls down for a while longer (since your Sims can't tell anything is wrong -- it's only us players who can't see through the glass), saving the old versions of any TSR windows and doors you redownload would let you try the S4S fix on them instead later.

Yeah I probably did not do myself any favors spending a good while this morning redownloading Mutske's stuff. I already got rid of the old stuff :(

Sorry about giving bad advice, xordevoreaux for what it's worth I kept all my old Mutske and Buffsum files as backup in case you need old versions.
Alternatively you can see if the old versions of the windows still exist in the set files (i.e. dated before 9/3)

Well, creators who are actively working on their own stuff in advance of a batchfix will probably give you decent fixes eventually one way or another, so I wouldn't worry as much about Mutske's stuff. If they can't get the issues sorted by the time the S4S fix comes out, and then the S4S fix does a better job, people who have actively been fixing their own CC will probably upload files that have had the S4S fix run on them, etc. It's the stuff from retired creators I'm more concerned about -- unless someone makes a statement about it (or until it actually happens), there's no way to know whether whoever's updating them will do a second round.
