I'm new to Sims Studio but haven't seen a tutorial for this: can I change the category for game objects (not just custom content)? Where would I find those objects?
Also, can I change the name of an object? Example: Julia Work Toyota. I would change it to Toyota Car or Toyota Vehicle. That way a search would easily locate it. Right now there's things I have to first filter content, then scroll, scroll, scroll and finally locate it. (I would also make sure it's in the Transportation category.)
Last question! Can you give DEBUG objects a name? Can you put them in categories?

Creating a default replacement for a game object will let you override all sorts of things including what category it appears in. If you want to change the name of a CC object, you can in fact just open the file up in S4S and change the name. But a search term doesn't have to be the first word in the name of the object for a search to find it as long as the words are actually separated by spaces, i.e. searching for 'toyota' should find 'Julia Work Toyota' just fine but it won't find 'JuliaWorkToyota'. (If you want to change the name of an EA object, that can also be done in a default replacement.) There's also a method for adding search terms to the end of an object's name, but it is late so I'll leave that one to either future Cid, someone else, or you to look up. This person has already given debug objects names and categories en masse: www.patreon.com/posts/better-buildbuy-41504235Many people have also done various things to make debug objects more accessible, including turning them into ordinary buyables that show up with debug off, and have names. I have the impression from their download descriptions that how much work that involves depends on the object.

One last question: where are the game's objects stored? like the couch, toilet, bed, etc. I'm trying to locate the original objects so that I can copy/edit their tags.

I'm not sure the answer to the question you asked is the answer you want. The actual location of the game's objects is... in the game files. Most creators don't have a reason to look directly at the game files; they just use tools meant for creators, like S4S, that can access that stuff for them and put it in a format that is more user-friendly for reading it and changing it. You can find a full index of S4S tutorials here and a build/buy specific index here. This includes one for recategorizing objects, though be aware it's NOT for making a default replacement that will change the categorization of an EA object, it's just a guide to changing categories (i.e. to make the categories on CC you create different than the categories on the object you cloned to make it, or to recategorize CC you downloaded); to make an override you have to start from the main menu and tick the 'Override' radio button below the 'Object' button, then click on the 'Object' button and locate the object you want to override.
