I'm currently trying to change the names and descriptions of the districts of Willow Creek using string tables, like Pendula View and Foundry Cove, however, none of the edits I make show up in game. I found the string tables for them and added them to my save file/package. I've deleted all languages except for English, that didn't work. I've made sure all languages had the same thing written, that didn't work. Changing Willow Creek's name worked perfectly fine; I just had to go to Save Game Data. I've also tried exporting it as multiple different files, but it would just show the world as corrupted in game. Am I wasting time and it's impossible to change those names and descriptions or is there something I'm missing?
I never used Sims 4 Studio until now and only learning through online tutorials. Thank you to anyone who can help!
I'm having trouble posting an image, so here's the text for the string table where I attempt to change Pendula View to Willow Port.
{ "Locale": 0, "Version": 5, "Compressed": 0, "Reserved": "AAA=", "Entries": [ { "Key": "0xADAC6FB1", "Value": "Willow Port" } ], "DataLength": "0x0000000C", "Key": { "Type": "0x220557DA", "Group": "0x80000000", "Instance": "0x0054BA26F4CDA04C" } }

The Text tab is just a different view of the Data tab. It should not matter which one someone uses to edit. Look at the Text tab before and after making your usual changes in the Data tab.

You can't edit the Text Tab of a String Table at all as S4S does not let you, and that was a misunderstanding when I replied last year. But yes, you can double check the Text Tab to be sure your changes saved. Since I'm here: For anyone who has a similar issue with Pendula View, there are duplicate strings to be aware of. The second one is 573B5EBC.

MizoreYukii: no worries. The link you posted was still helpful
I was also having trouble with strings not appearing. I think it was because of the instance id of the table. If you're having this problem, try these steps: 1. If you're working by modifying another mod, then your string table's instance id might still match theirs. Generate a unique hash for your table instance. 2. When creating an id, edit the leading 2 digits of the instance id to correspond to the locale code. For example, B488278DDA455880 -> 0088278DDA455880 for US English. 3. Remember to use "0x" to denote hex strings. For example, <T n="tooltip">83173213</T> must be <T n="tooltip">0x83173213</T>. 4. Tools > Modding > Copy string tables to all languages, may be useful for creating tables.
