Hi, I have a few finished animations in blender 2.9 but how do I convert them to blender 2.7 to make it work in sims4studio? Or will it work anyway? When creating cc it is usually necessary to import them to blender 2.7 Thank you^^

Hi. I'm not sure if it will work with animation, but generally we just append whatever we want from a file made in 2.9 to the compatible version instead of opening it.

I second on appending the rig. By the way, have you tried importing the file as is without converting it in 2.7x Blender? I have a feeling that it might be not necessary when it comes to animations. Blender needs Studio tools addon (it gets embedded by default when you connect Blender in Studio settings) in order to import objects and CAS meshes, but I don't think that it is needed for animations. I haven't tried importing animations made in 2.8x Blender yet.

I tried it today and I could upload them to sims4studio. I hope the animations will also work in the game. Thank you ^-^

Please let us know if it works so we will know for sure in the future. I just don't have extra time to run the test at this moment.

Of course! When I’m finished with this mod, and run the test, I’ll let you know how it worked

Hey there, kinda new here and having the same problem. I want to convert my file to 2.7 because when I tried to import them directly into sims 4 studios, it doesn't work. How did you manage to make yours work? When I append it in 2.7, it's to heavy for the program.
Excuse my english, it's not my first language. I hope someone can help me

Clone an item in s4s, export the blend, open it in 2.7, File - Append - the blend from 2.9 - object - the meshgroups you need. Then assign cut numbers and delete the original meshgroups

The op said it did import from blender 2.8+, so i assumed it works for everyone. If it does not, try appending the rig, but i'm not sure how all of it is done, let's wait for other people to chime in

Yes I tried to import it directly like the person before but I get the error: ''Make sure your .blend file has a rig'' , which it has or maybe I am saving it entirely wrong. I will wait indeed. Thank you for responding!
