mgibson17 the error is saying that your computer is not allowing Studio to create a log file because it does not have permission. Have you tried running Studio as an administrator or temporarily disabling your antivirus software? Neither of those steps should be necessary to run Studio, but if either of them fixes the problem, then it could give some clues as to which settings need to be modified to get it running again. rookwings as Cidira mentioned, we will need more detailed error messages to be able to determine the problem. Can you look in the event viewer again and see if there are any longer messages like some of the others that have been posted? Sometimes when an error goes to the event log, there are 2 entries. One has very little details and the one next to it will have more information.

Thank you Andrew, just running as administrator didn't do it but disabling my antivirus allowed it to run just fine so I added it as an exception after reenabling the antivirus and everything seems to be working well still. This hasn't caused issues for me with previous versions of S4S, so I'm not sure what's changed between now and then. If this helps others at all, I'm using AVG Antivirus and I added the folder path for Sims 4 Studio as an exception for scanning, but I also had to add S4Studio.exe as an "allowed" app for the Ransomware Shield to get it to run (so I'm not sure if adding the folder as an exception for scanning is actually necessary but oh well). Thank you again for your assistance!

No idea why, but this update crashed on launch for me, and I've been weepily reinstalling and uninstalling for a few days because I foolishly assumed my antivirus couldn't possibly be the issue (spoiler: it was).

yesss! Andrew and all the the helpers, thanks! and lecapitalism, thanks - on seeing your reply I tried again to get my settings to let Sims4Studio to be an 'allowed' app, and I can open it now! Bless you all, a hundred hugs for your help... p.s., andrew, I'd love to know more about the events in the event viewer - can you point me to a good learning site, please I'd look myself but I've acquired a yahoo invasion after downloading cc, so I'm fed up with Chrome right now, and don't want anything else to go wrong. That'll teach me for being greedy, haha

Hello, please help me~!!
This is exactly what happens when i try to open Sims4Studio ( I'm on Windows 10 btw, all up to date) , I click on the EXE file or the shortcut file i made of S4S, my mouse loads for like 2 seconds and nothing even shows up!, I check the task manager to see if it's running in the background, but its not running at all? I've tried reinstalling it 4 times now and it still does the same thing no matter what I do ~ I've Tried running it as Administrator, it still does the same thing ~ Turned off my Antivirus, Firewall and Windows Protection, and it still doesnt work ~ I even tried repairing my sims 4 game files and it still does the same things What am i doing wrong here? Is the location of my sims 4 games in the wrong place? Is the location of S4S in the wrong place? Why isn't it even opening?? please help me , I need to get this working ASAP, cant find any other problems similar to mine, at least they get some type of error, but i get nothing Hello! New here. Made this account literally just to post this. The same thing happened to me. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program several times, even though my Windows and TS4 are up to date, it never worked. I solved it by: 1. Downloading the .NET Framework Repair Tool www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30135 and 2. Deleting the entire Documents\Sims 4 Studio folder (not just logs. the entire folder) from Documents and all old installation files. I also removed them from Recycle Bin. 3. Re-installing normally. Then it worked just fine. I really hope this helps people out, because I've been stuck with it not working for ages and have been very frustrated.

If not, try adding it to exceptions in your antivirus or giving permissions to do everything as explained here in both replies answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/windows-10-grant-a-specific-application-permanent/7e80d9ca-6e3b-4d5c-bb52-ac9adcd4e5ecalso, make sure ts4 is not running

HI ALL. I'm having trouble downloading TS4 Studio. I use a Mac M1 2020. I can't successfully download the tested Blossom version nor the beta Aurora. I don't know how to insert the screenshots I took.
1. First says: "S4Studio" cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified. MacOS cannot verify that this app is free from malware. Move to Trash or Cancel [this one is the beta version, Aurora]
2. Second says: Safari can't resume this download. The file "Sims 4 Studio 1.3.4.2 (Apple Blossom).dmg-2.download" doesn't appear to be a valid download file. [tried downloading twice and it stops]
