From what I can see it seems like the mod has been abandoned?

Does this mean that another modder could pick the mod up and try to update it or would that be against the rules?

I know that we have realm of magic now but I liked this mod better to be honest.

If you have any ideas of what happened and what can be done now please let me know!

Yes, sorry this is a long over due reply, We the AOM team have abandoned the project as we had started on working on a new mermaid project. At this point in time the AOM team has been disbanded. Although we are still friends most of us do not mod anymore. I will check in with my co-modders and see if it is okay for people to pick up the mod and remake it.
