I haven't been able to find any information that seems relevant so I guess I'll try asking about this here. I was using a CC-Free save, because of the update, and it reminded me of how few toddler hairs we have in the game (at least from packs released prior to this year.) So, I hunted down a finds blog and set to work. Sim-File Share was having some issues but I eventually got a bunch of new hairs for my Sims babies.
Unfortunately, when I checked them out in Sims4Studio, I found that some of these hairs have a weird glitch! Instead of seeing their scalp, I can see straight through their skull and into the grid. Some of them are conversions but the children and T-E hairs are fine; it's just the toddler meshes that are screwed up. None of this appeared in the previews and all of them were created this year, except for the (ironically named) ToddlerShortPonyLoseHair by Birksche, which is from June 2019. Another is the Leslie Toddler by Birksche and also Briony Curls by Simgguk. The rest are all by KiaraZurk: EP09 Double Braid, Toddler Angie, Toddler Denise, Toddler Lindsey, and Toddler LowPonyWavy. I downloaded a few more from KiaraZurk with very visible scalps, also conversions, and those were fine... so I'm very confused! These issues aren't in the photos and some of the files have even been updated. I don't know if it's just a mistake on the creator's part, a problem with my computer, or something that the patch broke... I'm hoping there's an easy fix because I really want to have these hairs in my game. Thoughts? :(

Out of curiosity, do they also have the same problem in-game?

I'll admit, I haven't checked. In my experience, bad CC looked the same in both places so I didn't consider this an option. I'll look tomorrow (sorry, headed to bed, otherwise I'd check right now) and report back.

Okay, sorry for the huge delay (Thanksgiving and family and such.) A few of the hairs still look a bit odd but the gashes are gone; there's definitely a scalp. I guess the default Sim settings or something else from Sims4Studio wasn't playing nicely. I'll have to keep that in mind for the future. Thanks again!

Considering what every alpha hair ever looks like in S4S, I figured it was worth a check. S4S doesn't render everything TS4 does.
